He felt dizzy and experienced pain throughout his body, while his head spun. His vision had become blurred, distorted by the violence and blows that the police had mercilessly inflicted on him.

" Suddenly, I am the victim of a blatant injustice," he thought.

" I struggle to believe that these police officers continue to accuse me despite my innocence. They seem deaf to reason and are determined to make me confess to a crime that I did not commit ! It is deeply disappointing," he murmured with difficulty.

In his cell, Quantin curled up in a corner, trembling with fear and disgust at the injustice and cruelty that relentlessly struck him.

" I am plunged into the utmost uncertainty about my immediate fate and I am truly afraid," he continued in a barely audible whisper.

Therefore, he thinks again about Director Bauer.

" Why wasn't he present during my arrest by the police? Could he also be in danger? " he wonders.

Multiple questions invade his mind as he cries in his unsanitary cell.
