Jason had turned away but the girl had only went to drop her drink and was back in Jason’s face.

The girl quickly apologized to Jason, expressing her regret for not seeing him in her path. Jason reassured her that it was fine, but she persisted, insisting on helping him clean off the drink stains on his clothes. Intrigued by her persistent kindness, he eventually relented and followed her through the crowd. After all, he thought to himself, Travolta had yet to make an appearance, so a brief detour seemed harmless.

They weaved their way through the opulent mansion, and Jason couldn’t help but notice the girl’s familiarity with her surroundings.

“You seem to know your way around here. Are you a regular at these kinds of parties?” Jason asked, curiosity tinged in his voice.

The girl let out a soft laugh, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “No, not exactly. I’ve been here a few times before. My father is acquainted with the host, so I’ve had the chance to explore the place.”
