The next day, an air of indifference enveloped both Ashley and Jason. Their silence continued, unaffected by the concern of the other boys. It seemed as though they had reached a point of no return, with both of them choosing not to engage or communicate.

Eric approached Jason cautiously, sensing the growing distance between him and Ashley. “Hey, man, have you tried talking to Ashley? This silence isn’t doing any good for either of you,” he suggested, his voice tinged with concern.

Jason shrugged, his expression apathetic. “I don’t see the point, Eric. It feels like we’ve drifted apart. Maybe we’re just not meant to be a team anymore,” he replied, his voice devoid of emotion.
