A chilling gust of wind swept through, and Lance felt as if his face had been sliced by something, a freezing sensation even though nothing had touched his face.

He looked at Arthur and asked, "What should we do, sir?"

Arthur stood in the middle of the courtyard, holding a dried branch he had picked up from somewhere, seemingly writing or drawing something in the air.

With narrowed eyes, Arthur asked, "Have you confirmed the presence of unusual energy here?"

Amber nodded firmly, "If you doubt me again, I'll scratch your face!"

Arthur didn't say anything more. He bowed slightly, using the branch to draw something on the ground.

The small, withered branch seemed enveloped in specific energy, cutting through the earth and stone, creating a circle with ancient and intricate patterns.

The three Thlus floated in the air.

Crimson hesitated, "What's this, some kind of matrix?"

Skyler responded, "You fool, that's indeed a matrix."

Crimson retorted, "Are you calling me a fool?!"
