"What kind of player are you, you can't even dodge that flame ball, do you think you'll be able to survive in this game as a newcomer?" An enraged voice could be heard from a small room filled with videogames and VR helmets for a variety of games.

Roland sat across from a large screen monitor, holding his game pad as he controlled his in-game character to take the loot of a party member who died from an inferior flame ball used by a level 4 player.

Roland is a popular professional gamer; his knowledge of games and gameplay have made him the best in his country, and he is currently beta testing a new game called "Mage Adventure."

It's a video game with a lot of magic spells and martial arts techniques to learn and use. It's based on the novel "Evil Warlock," which has been remade as a game with amazing graphics and good features.

Roland has reached level 37 after two weeks of playing the MMO videogame; he is currently in a 5v5 battle with beta testers from another country; the winner of the battle will receive a legendary rank battle gear and a five-star spell, as well as two million dollar for completing the beta testing programs.

The guys on his team were supposed to be the best, but two of them were already dead and two were healing themselves, leaving him in the middle of the battlefield to fight the other team's players.

He pressed the [x] button, and his game character dashed toward one of them, sealing two of them with his flame chain before attacking the others with his superior fireballs; fortunately, he was able to defeat the others without losing all of his HP.

Just as he was about to deal the final strike on one of the players he had sealed previously, his monitor screen turned ashen and his entire electrical setup rebooted.

His eyes widened with surprise because he was not expecting something like this; thanks to the game's "Data" system, he was able to re-enter the game, but his character was only twenty percent HP away from dying.

"Your HP is already full; come help me." He called out to his last teammate, Gregor, who came out and used his best spell to defeat their enemy, but Roland was not overjoyed with the victory.

When a notification appeared on his screen, he dropped the game pad and was about to go get some cold juice.

"What's the matter now, I thought I turned off all notifications?" He scoffed when he saw what was on his screen.

"Did they think I was a fool to believe such lies, delete for me?" He clicked cancel, but the same notification kept appearing until he finally decided to click accept.

[Thank you for selecting REINCARNATION AGENT XERO as your agent; please answer the questions below]

«If you had the opportunity to reincarnate, which world would you choose? (A) Cultivation (B) Apocalypse (C) Random»

«Hero or Villain (A) Hero (B) Villain (C) Not sure»

Roland knew it was all a ruse, so he chose B in the first question and C in the second, immediately leading to another window that made him gag.

[Reincarnation is nearly complete; as our first customer, you will be given the option of selecting one of the gift packs listed below, which will be delivered to you immediately following reincarnation.]

There were three boxes displayed on the screen, one green, one red, and one blue, each with a glow behind it that blinked every second.

When he moved the pointer to the red one and clicked the CONFIRM button beneath it, a large text congratulations appeared on the screen.

He sighed and began walking towards the door when the lights in the room went out and the electricity supply inside this room went out.

Roland felt it was normal until his eyes met what he did not expect.

His computer's wires had been disconnected by themselves, but the screen remained on, with the large text congratulations still flashing on the screen.

"What's going on?" He let out a shaky voice, his hands quickly reaching for the door knob as he used all of his strength at once to try and open the door, but he failed.

Roland was alone in the house, and he considered crying for help, but he knew it would be futile.

He tries to slow down his breathing rate. believing that everything was a dream and that he would soon awaken in reality.

"Reincarnation sequence #90001 has begun."

The robotic voice echoed across the room, and a ten-second countdown began on the TV, causing his eyes to shrink.

He became so terrified that he took a baton from his room and ran as fast as he could to smash the large screen monitor.

"What's wrong, heck, computer lady, what's all this?" As he landed the first hit on the monitor screen, he yelled.

Although there was a sound of glass crashing, the screen was not destroyed.

It was soon down to the final 5 seconds of the countdown.

"5"

"4"

Immediately following the 4, a large vortex appeared in mid-air and began to swirl at an alarming rate.

"3"

"2"

The force from the vortex drew Roland closer at this point, and it was so strong that Roland couldn't resist it.

"1"

Roland was sucked into the vortex, and when the one turned to zero, both Roland and the vortex vanished.

Immediately after, the electricity was restored, and the monitor he had hit with the baton was shattered, as was the door he had been struggling to open.
