CHAPTER 17: Surgery

Jack returned to his house, seemingly hurt by the entire situation that had played out at the meeting. He never thought for a minute that Rose would be against him. However, he wasn't surprised, seeing that they weren't on good terms.

"Hello sir, I have done as you have asked of me. As we speak, all contracts and projects that their clan could ever have or even lay eyes on have been cut off completely.

"Excellent. Now let's see who has the last laugh," Jack stated, hanging up. He headed out of the apartment in the hope of going to see his doctor.

He had made up his mind that the only way possible for Rose to like him was if he was able to make the surgery. The doctor had previously told him that his inner skin got melted as a result of the fact that something hot poured on his face, thereby making him ugly in the process.

When he arrived at the hospital, he was told to wait patiently for the doctor to arrive, and given that he wasn't going anywhere, Jack decided to wait as instructed.
