CHAPTER 23: A little lesson

Maximus was literally shaking as he stared down at Sanchez, who had helped him get to where he was today.

"Please, Jack, help me beg him."

He turned to look at Jack, who was still visibly angry at the fact that they had made him bleed.

"Absolutely no way in hell; I would not beg him, and you must face the wrath that would fall on you." He gave approval to Sanchez, who turned to look at his men and made signals for them to attack him.

They beat him to a stupor as the rest of the soldiers watched in shock. They could literally do nothing, as all their allegiance lay with Sanchez, who was being beaten.

After minutes of aggressive beatings, Sanchez was losing consciousness when the men stopped.

"This should serve as a lesson to you; next time, know your place, boy," Jack said, getting down on his knees to stare at the bloodied man.

"And as for he that sent you, I want you to know that when the right time comes, I will visit his own case," Jack indicated and stood up to leave.
