Chapter Eighty-five

Sophia stared at the window of the private clinic, her belly had grown into a full belly bump as she was now eight months and a few weeks pregnant.

She felt a kick from the baby inside her, and she smiled faintly. She wondered what her child would look like, and what kind of life they would have. She hoped they would never have to face the dangers and enemies that she had to deal with.

She turned her gaze to her father, who was lying motionless on the hospital bed.

He had been in a coma for over eight months, ever since he was shot by one of Madeline's men but the bullet had damaged his brain, and the doctors said there was little chance of him waking up.

She felt a surge of anger and sadness, and she clenched her fists. She hated Ella, she had made Sophia a target, and Ella had been sending her generals and henchmen to harass and attack her.

Sophia had not given up, though. She had fought back, using her skills and contacts to grow her business and protect her territory.
