Chapter Fifty-four

"Fine. But we have to go with you. We can't leave our post, or let you out of our sight," the other guard said, agreeing to let her in.

He opened the door and followed her inside. The first guard did the same and closed the door behind him.

"Thank you, gentlemen. You're doing the right thing. I appreciate your cooperation," Pamela said, as she entered the room.

She saw Paul lying on the bed sleeping, she saw her opportunity, and she took it.

She turned around and stabbed the first guard in the neck with her syringe. He gasped and fell to the floor, paralyzed and silent.

She kicked the second guard in the groin and punched him in the face. He groaned and collapsed stunned and bleeding.

She grabbed the keys and the walkie-talkie from their belts and locked the door. She had done it. She had knocked them out.

Paul now awakened by the noise watched in fear as Pamela took out the two guards meant to protect him as he lay in his hospital bed in fear cowering. "Who are you?" Paul cried o
