Chapter Fifty-seven

Paul could not see anything. A cloth covered his head, hiding everything from him. He felt scared and lost. He could only hear the sound of the car and the city far away.

Pamela was sitting next to him in the car. She was a strange woman who did not say much. Two men were with her.

They did not say anything either. They made Paul feel nervous. They had a plan for him, but he did not know what it was.

The car stopped suddenly, making Paul move forward. He heard the door open and felt the cold air on his face. Someone pulled the cloth from his head. He opened his eyes, but he could not see well. He tried to look around.

Paul was in a place he did not know. It was a dark building with gray walls. The people took him out of the car. His hands were tied behind his back.

They made him walk inside the building. It was very quiet, except for some noises far away.
