Madeline gave a wicked grin and nodded. She liked Ella's boldness and confidence. She also liked her intelligence and courage.

She felt a connection with her that she had not felt with anyone else, a connection of mutual understanding, she saw herself in Ella, so Madeline lifted her glass and clinked it with Ella's.

"Yes, it is. I like her," Madeline said, pointing to Ella.

She looked at James and Dante and saw that they were surprised and intrigued by her statement, she had made up her mind, she was going to take Benedict Rake, and she was going to have her vengeance,

The rest of the dinner went on smoothly and in the next two hours they discussed the schematics of how they would kidnap Benedict Rake and their strategy of attack,

They concluded that would keep Benedict Rake at one of her secured warehouses at the edge of town.

As everyone prepared to leave Ella stood by the door waiting for Alexander to finish talking to his dad while their driver readied the car for them to leave.
