Chapter Thirty-nine

"Wow, I saw them earlier they are beautiful? That's so cool. Can I see them?" Sophia asked, feeling excited.

"Sure, come on. They're very friendly," Jackson said, leading her to the stable. He opened the door and walked inside, followed by Sophia.

He greeted the horses by name, stroking their manes and feeding them some carrots. He introduced Sophia to them, letting her pet them and talk to them.

Sophia smiled, feeling a connection with the animals. She loved horses, but she had never ridden one before. She wondered if Jackson would teach her how to ride someday.

"Which one is your favorite?" she asked, looking at the four horses.

Jackson pointed at a black stallion, with a white star on his forehead.

"That's Shadow. He's the fastest and the smartest. He's my best friend," he said, with affection.

"He's beautiful. Can I ride him?" Sophia asked, feeling adventurous.

"Maybe another time. He's not very easy to handle. He only listens to me," he said, t
