Chapter Twenty-six

Madeline hung up the phone and looked at her son. She said, "Don't worry, my son. I'll take care of this. I'll make her regret ever crossing us. I'll make her beg for mercy. I'll make her suffer. And then, I'll make her die. And then, I'll go after her father and his whole empire, I'll make them all pay. I'll make them all burn. I'll make them all disappear. No one messes with me, and lives to tell the tale."

Madeline rose from the bed, feeling a surge of anger and betrayal. She had just seen the photos of her boyfriend, James, kissing another woman on the front page of a gossip magazine.

She couldn't believe he would do this to her, after all they had been through together.

She glanced at the two men who were standing guard outside her bedroom door.

They were loyal to her, and she snapped at one of them, "Find everything you know about the so-called boyfriend, take my phone, and dial Benedict, I need to talk to him."

The man nodded and quickly took the phone and dialed the number,
