"You got pregnant," William says, "yes," Ella says, "it was mine wasn't it?" William said fuming

Ella lay on the bed,

Her body wracked with sobs as she clutched the sheets tightly in her trembling hands. The weight of William's accusation hung heavy in the air, his words like a knife to her heart.
