As Benedict pulled back from the embrace, his eyes filled with determination. "If it's the child they want, then we give it to them," he declared, his voice resolute.

But Sophia recoiled at the suggestion, her eyes flashing with defiance. "No, Dad. No," she insisted, her voice trembling with emotion. "Fernando already suggested that, and my answer was no."

Benedict turned to Fernando, his expression pleading for support. "But that's the only way to keep you safe," he argued, desperation creeping into his voice.
