Mr. Jonsen's reaction made Leo unable to help but smile. It wasn't long before Leo's steps arrived beside Mr. Jonsen. After that, Leo extended his open palm.

"Can I ask for your cigarette?" Leo asked without the slightest hesitation.

Mr. Jonsen looked at Leo's palm through cynical eyes. There was no answer but he looked forward again.

"Why did you come to me?" asked Mr. Jonsen exasperatedly.

Leo immediately chuckled at Mr. Jonsen's question. For some reason, the more Mr. Jonsen showed his dislike for him, the more Leo was challenged.

"Fine if you don't want to give me your cigarette," Leo said as he retracted his outstretched palm.

Leo took a deep breath, then let it out. He placed both hands on the window ledge and looked at the view of the skyscrapers.

"I just wanted to make sure why you seem to hate me so much," Leo replied later. "Even though I've shown my contribution. It was my seriousness in wanting to join you guys."
