For the next few days, Victor kept his distance from the Chen family to show his dissatisfaction with what had happened. He declined invitations from Charles to hang out with their group of friends and didn't bother giving them any reasons.

"Charles, what's going on? How come Mr. Augustine hasn't visited us at all? This is all that snake's fault," Megan said, gritting her teeth while seated on the sofa. She had thought it through overnight and believed that what happened was for the best. "If she didn't cling to Mr. Augustine, this wouldn't have happened."

"Megan, that's enough. Why are you still here anyway? Don't you have filming?" Charles sighed, already stressed out from all that had happened. He didn't expect that a simple miscalculation would ruin everything. He felt like he wanted to bring the woman back and torture her to relieve his anger.
