The sky began to turn blue as dawn had just arrived, the faint orange sunlight of the early morning shone from the horizon. Rodric still stood in the same spot at the front of his house, he didn't sleep or sit down throughout the night, yet there was no sign of stress or tiredness on his face, as an experienced devil hunter, he has already lived many nights like this before.

He noticed the sun starting to rise and a look of disappointed came over him, if Verner wasn't back by now, then it only meant one thing, he didn't make it. Rodric walked into his house, he searched for his wife until he finally found her in the children's room, sleeping on their bed with the three of them. The boys slept very early yesterday and probably woke up in the middle of the night because of that, so she might have come over to help them return to sleep, at least that's what he thought
