“H—ho... how?” Doctor Hiro expressed his shock, the magic he had just witnessed left his eyes doubting the untruth he had just seen. Speechless, he looked on as Kakashi sat up, catching his breath and the reality of his environment. “Oh God, another place. Where am I?” Kakashi groaned as he dropped his head into his palms, trying to rub the banging headache he felt away.“Can you feel your head?” Doctor Hiro peered at Kakashi, walking closer to his bed. He held his forefinger and middle finger up to test his vision as well.“Two. And yes, I’m fine.” Kakashi answered. The doctor stepped back a bit and questioned the stranger with his looks. Kakashi looked around after a quick relief from the head-splitting aching he felt. “You. You. I recognize you. You were there, weren’t you?” Kakashi fixed his gaze on the stranger.“There? Where? You were somewhere? Where? Were you with others? Alone? Did you see Doctor Haishi?” “Argh” Kakashi’s groan signaled the revival of the headache and this
“You don’t know him?” “What did you say?” Doctor Hiro couldn’t hear the below whisper tone Kakashi mimed at him.“You... really... do... not... know... him?” Kakashi said each word like a sentence with the same tone as his face moved closer to Doctor Hiro’s, and his finger pointed at the floating object for more clarity.“No, I don’t. You think I said I didn’t know him just for what? Because I’ve always wanted to meet a frightening stranger who happens to be a healer and also an incredible fighter with no blood in his veins?” Doctor Hiro swore under his breath as the last part slipped out. “He has no blood in his veins? You two fought?” Kakashi queried further.“We didn’t fight. Well, not really.” Doctor Hiro responded, his eyes searching his head for answers. “Not really? He has no blood too? Did you cut him to realize that while you tried to fight him he still overcame you with no effort?” Kakashi wasn’t letting this conversation slip away. He moved closer to the doctor. “You s
“I am so so sorry,” Kakashi spoke through Jay’s shoulders. “It’s fine. I’ve forgiven you.” Jay replied.“Thank you, Jay, thank you.” Kakashi let Jay go as they broke off the hug, smiles creeping up their faces. “Kakashi! You might want to see this.” Doctor Hiro’s voice alerted Kakashi. Kakashi rued the interruption. He was having a moment with Jay, and the last thing he wanted was for this – an interruption, but the urgency in the voice of Doctor Hiro was too much to ignore. He walked quickly with Jay behind as they got to where the doctor was. Doctor Hiro was fighting his hands into the fitting of the gloves, his nose mask already in place. “Shouldn’t we not disturb them?” Kakashi halted the hands of Doctor Hiro.“He said we shouldn’t disturb him, not them.” Doctor Hiro said, still hesitant about whether or not to continue what he wanted to. “Ah aah!” Jay let out a scream as he saw the man floating above them, across the beds. “Shh” Kakashi and Doctor Hiro uniformly hissed
The crashing of some things on the floor shifted focus to Zoa. Her vomit covered the floor as her still-bent posture meant one thing; there was more to come. Jay and Kakashi helped the doctor get supplies to clean the vomit. The doctor wanted no nurse to be part of what was happening. He couldn’t do it alone but he didn’t need more people overwhelming him. “You guys, look,” Jay called the attention of Kakashi and Doctor Hiro. Zoa was ill but she joined to lookThe chaos energy that was dwindling had turned into a mini globe movie. The energy was fizzing out into different situations and environments, creating a look-alike reality of those places. The stranger was still floating, his legs still tucked within each other.“He saved me.” A voice from behind got them to turn around in its direction. It was Zoa’s first words since she woke up to consciousness. Her pink hair wasn’t as pretty as when her skin wasn’t blue, but it stood out more than ever. Sh-she stood out more than ever.“H
Jay walked up to him and held him tightly in a warm embrace. He didn’t say anything, he didn’t know what to say. He didn’t need to say anything as his embrace communicated all he would have wanted to. After a while, Kakashi finished sobbing and let himself out of the hug. He wiped his eyes with the back of his arms. He aimed to continue the story. “You know you don’t have to do this, right?” Jay didn’t think it was necessary to continue what he had been through. Having to relive a day, such day, again. Phew... he couldn’t imagine the mental fortitude Kakashi possessed to even agree to narrate the ordeal so early.Kakashi wiped his face with his palms. He called back the slimy liquid trying to exit his nostrils. He cleared his throat, then continued. “The whole environment suddenly changed to a pitch-black, windy one. Thunderstorms rained amid the tornadoes and hurricanes. I watched them grow up, literally, from the ground up. They were just winds, then they became whirlwinds...” Ka
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? YOU ARE ONE OF MY MOST LOYAL DISCIPLES AND YOU DARE CORNER ME?” Lord Zodiac’s voice thundered within the wind.“I can’t do such to you, My Lord.” Daisuke bowed“HM, SO WHY ARE YOU HERE? HAVE YOU FOUND ANYTHING USEFUL TO ME TAKING CHARGE FULLY OF THAT USELESS BODY?” Lord Zodiac questioned impatiently.“Last time we spoke, you said you would live among the Godlinkers to learn more about their evolution before you take control of the boy,” Daisuke replied calmly.“THAT IS TRUE BUT, THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD FINS OUT NOTHING. I CAN LEARN ALL I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THEM IN A MINUTE, AND I WILL DESTROY THEM IN LESS TIME.” Lord Zodiac laughed “That is true.” Daisuke agreed. “I made this plan to be able to talk with you again.” Daisuke’s tone was firm.“I HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN YOU WERE THE RIGHT ONE. OUTSTANDING.” Lord Zodiac praised.“That is the highest form of compliment I can ever receive, thank you, Lord. I need time, not so much time, just enough time to
“Chaos energy doesn’t work here.” Jun watched as Jiro lost hope in his eyes for a minute.“I was able to do that because I don’t use chaos energy.” Jun smiled at the expression Jiro had on his face.“Leave now!” Jun pushed him out of the reach of the creature that dived toward him. He wasn’t with his sword but he could take a few on. It would be suicide but he couldn’t run away, again. He ran through the many that congregated on Jun only for them to turn into dust. Dust got into his nostrils; his loud cough was like a deep cleanser of his system.***“Where am I?”The loud cough and question got everyone back to where the beds were erected. “Wow,” Jay marveled.“Who is that?” Jiro pointed at the stranger floating in the air.“Welcome back.” Kakashi ran to hug him. Jiro groaned a bit as he broke the contact as soon as it was initiated. “I hate this guy,” Kakashi said beneath his breath.Jiro sauntered away from where they crowded and he sat on what he deemed a comfortable seat. “W
“He just appeared when everyone left...” Jiro thought out loud“Um, you think it’s fishy?” Kakashi added“I don’t know, but we will find out.” Jiro replied, “We definitely will.”“So, who saved you?” Kakashi broke the thought process that was going on in Jiro’s head“What?” Jiro’s face had confusion written over it.“When you were unconscious, you said the stranger didn’t come to save you, right? So, who saved you?” Kakashi explained“A girl.” Jiro hoped that would answer the question, although he knew Kakashi would probe.“Well, that’s not the floating guy,” Kakashi added.Jiro rolled his eyes. How was he going to tell this story now? Jun, Jun Anju... “Hey!” Jay’s breath deserted him as he bent over his knees to regain it. Jiro and Kakashi looked at him with curiosity etched on their faces while they stayed silent through his recovery. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you both.” Jay reached for his glasses to assist its comfort on his face. Jiro was eager to hear what the boy b
