Chapter 53

“What does he think he is doing?” Kakashi asked

Daichi’s footsteps were short and calm as air. He continued his movement toward the figures who weren’t so far away anymore. He took two more steps and suddenly, fog covered his vision. He stood straight, confused. He turned back to see his friends, but there was nothing in sight. All he saw was the light cloud that hovered all over him.

“What is he doing?” Kakashi asked as they all watched Daichi stop suddenly.

“I think... wait, no!” Zoa dashed toward Daichi.

Air was caught in her hands as she swung her arm from a close distance to drag Daichi from the same pattern that had gotten her sister.

“N—noooooooooo!” Her shout woke up half the students that lay in bed; Jiro came rushing, he cheated friction with the expert stop he got on his feet.

“What is it? Why did you scream?” Jiro looked at Zoa.
