The emperor drew his sword, moving toward the frozen raiders. He swung his sword at their heads, thrusting his weapon deep into their guts too. Schwiiiiing... “I—I am so so s—” Doctor Haishi’s raised hand stopped the words from Doctor Haishi. The emperor turned back to him, “Did you find them?” “Yes. They are not far away. They are slaves.” The emperor looked back to the carriage, sighing deeply. He looked back at Doctor Haishi with pain and rage consuming him. The emperor stared at the map intensely, trying to see where the shortcut he had earmarked was. They had been on the road for more time than they hoped they would be. The night sky was lined up with lighting. Stars scattered all over the vast land, twinkling and illuminating the woods they journeyed.“I think we might have to find another way there. The moon was fading into the quiet embrace of dawn when the other living things around still hunted for their meal while the master and his troops slumbered under the veil of night. The distant howl of a wolf pack jerked each person to consciousness as if nature itself screamed into the ears of each. “What was that?” A soldier woke up with urgency in his raspy voice. The sluggishness in other soldiers vanished when a pack of wolves appeared from the darkness they lurked. “I hope your soldier and the doctor are safe.” Master Yonda whispered to the commander’s ears The wolves charged at the troops. “Where is he?” Master Yonda directed the question at Doctor Haishi “Answer me!” He shouted his frustration at the doctor.
