Chapter 73

The moon was fading into the quiet embrace of dawn when the other living things around still hunted for their meal while the master and his troops slumbered under the veil of night. The distant howl of a wolf pack jerked each person to consciousness as if nature itself screamed into the ears of each.

“What was that?” A soldier woke up with urgency in his raspy voice.

The sluggishness in other soldiers vanished when a pack of wolves appeared from the darkness they lurked.

“I hope your soldier and the doctor are safe.” Master Yonda whispered to the commander’s ears

The wolves charged at the troops. Determination etched on the faces of the soldiers, certainty abounded amidst them as the pack of wolves was limited in number in comparison to them, wielding weapons. The cunning predators’ and soldiers’ sounds of snarls and shouts filled the air, echoing through the woods.
