NIGHT SHIFT

“A night shift? This is only your first day at the office; why would you want to do a night shift?” Matt asked, and surprise was written all over his face.

“It’s just that I need the extra pay, and I also want to make a good impression,” Victor answered. He didn’t want to tell Matt that he was aiming to become employee of the month, although he needed the extra pay as he was broke from managing the little money that he had.

"Hmmm, that sounds good, but are you sure you can handle it?” Matt wasn’t sure if it was the right choice for him to start working two shifts since he was a newbie.

“Alright, I will call the front desk and ask her to put your name on the list for the night shift,” he mumbled.

A smile curled across Victor’s lips. “Thanks a lot, sir,” he said with a lot of excitement in his voice.
