VOWS OF VENGEANCE The Cacophony
"This is preposterous!" Williams shot to his feet as soon as he saw the allegations against him. His lawyer, Barrister Karen, was perplexed at his misbehavior and didn't know how to go about it. "I suggest that you take a chill pill, sir; shouting is not going to solve anything. Why don't we discuss it and then we know what exactly to say? I understand how you must feel but... Is that not the reason why I am here?" Williams raised his eyes at her in anger. She wouldn't know what it meant for her reputation to be damaged. He was just finalizing a damaged control which took a lot from him just to be able to prove to people that he was a good man. Pointing at her accusingly, she jerked backward. "I don't understand what this is all about but if I have any idea of what this might be, I tell you for a fact that you are probably blowing this out of proportion. I understand the need for you to put yourself in my shoes and all of that, but..." Williams slammed his palm against the table,
VOWS OF VENGEANCE Swift chance
"Call me bias but I think that you have a fair chance at winning this case. I'm going to take it up with Judge Roberts and watch her handle it with proficiency. If you hand it over to other people I promise you that they would make a mess out of the situation." Barrister Karen made it known to her clients. What Williams didn't know was the fact that she never intended to represent him in any way. She just wanted to waste his time, but now that he was proven to be stubborn, it was better that she dealt with him. She also had an ire against him but used this as a means of getting her revenge. He had killed her youngest sister during a raid. "I don't know what this is about, and I honestly do not think I am interested in finding out what exactly it represents, but... I guess we have to do something else." Ethan said, deciding to give her the benefit of the doubt. Everyone knew that he didn't trust anyone especially to handle such a situation like this. He always felt that people woul
VOWS OF VENGEANCE Minor differences
"Taking my word for law was not going to do you any good, instead it was only going to break the non-existent chains that you had managed to build." Williams said into the press mic when he was invited for a meeting. Even the blind could see that he was referring to Ethan who had not come out to release any statement despite the rumors circulating the blogs. He felt like it was a childish thing to do and coming to do that was only going to reduce whatever he had to say in the first place. He watched the news with an open mind, waiting to see where this was going to lead to and how he would be able to anchor the situation without doing too much. It was better that he wasted some time trying to figure out a few things than jumping into suing Williams without too much evidence. Miranda didn't have such patience, because she felt like this procedure was too slow for her liking. It was going to reduce the reason she ever believed in the judiciary system in the first place and now that
VOWS OF VENGEANCE The Split
The next stride into the office was dramatic. Everyone looked right and left waiting for an exposure, especially a clash of powers as they had heard. It wasn't news that anyone that didn't dance to Williams tune was always handed the shorter end of the stick but no one saw this play out with Ethan. In fact the silence had even caused more uproar than anything else in the world and this had most of them trembling and hoping that this was all they could get. It was as pathetic as anyone could think of because how the mighty had fallen was a huge talk of the town and except the people who wanted to pretend like they had not heard the news, everyone was busy talking about it. Williams also knew that the world was waiting for his return but he also wanted to shock them by being as mature as he could. If he kept on giving them audiences he was going to lose his relevance sooner or later and that would discredit everything he ever had to say. Cassandra had also decided to cut ties with h
VOWS OF VENGEANCE Rumours And Lies
Ethan was just walking into the house as the sun began to set. The house was a little dim; in that dimness, he could see Miranda stretching on the sofa completely out of it while going through some papers."You are home early today; of course, everything is alright?" spoken Miranda, without ever bothering to get her head out of the paperwork she was going through."Yeah, just because I'm home earlier doesn't mean something is wrong Miranda," Ethan almost growled while walking to her. "In fact, we are going to have a date tonight,""Dare I say we have a date tonight?" she inquired as she slowly raised her head."Yes, so hurry! And don't fall asleep in the room or we won't make it," "A total prick," spat out Miranda, followed by some vague gestures.Ethan turned to Miranda as they cruised off to the event. "I can't wait for our date tonight," before flashing her a smile."And I, too," replied Miranda as she tucked away a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "It's been a while since we
VOWS OF VENGEANCE A Sudden Change of heart
Ethan and Miranda reached home, having felt peace after work because of the event night. The lights inside were dim, and it felt like almost a quiet oasis compared to the noise and gossip outside it. Miranda smiled while she untied the shoelaces on her shoes and set her purse down on the counter."This feels good," she said with a contented sigh.Ethan smiled, pouring them both glasses of champagne. "To us," he conveyed through the glass he handed her. "To getting through another day."Miranda took the glass and attached it to his in a faint clink. "And to the future. It's looking brighter."They sat cozily on the couch, drinking from their glasses as morsels of cookies that Miranda had baked earlier that day pervaded the air. There was soothing music playing in the background, adding to the ambience. Ethan stretched his legs and watched while Miranda danced lightly out into the open. Her beauty swayed him, and she looked blissful dancing so gracefully in the moment. That made it all
VOWS OF VENGEANCE The Truth Hurt
Miranda arrived at Williams' home, a large place well cared for. The dark rectangular windows were staring at her. The silence about the atmosphere felt ominous. She had come to a decision. He will have to face her today. Her heels sounded upon her ascent down the pavement and a murmur lifted into her ears. She took in an unsteady breath at the tumbler of anxiety that was buzzing in her chest. Ready for him. What was on his mind? After all of that fuss about the blueprint, she wanted to know. He had to pay for everything he robbed from their company.Knock, knock went her hand, steady but for the storm inside her. One of Williams' employees opened the door after some time. He stood aside for her to pass, without uttering a word. Miranda thanked him and walked in.Inside was quiet. That almost eerie stillness was now making her uncomfortable. Feet padded against the thick carpet as she walked down the long corridor, almost soundless on her way toward the knock on one of the office door
VOWS OF VENGEANCE In the Neck of time
The tension in the room was electric as Miranda stood there, arms crossed, thoroughly cold in the present battle of wills against Williams. With an air charged with rage, every word counted against one another as it set off the powder keg of combustible emotions. Williams's eyes were dark with fury, and Miranda had finished holding it in."Do you really think I'm gonna sit here and listen to you defend him? Ethan? Really?" A sarcastic mockery from Williams.Miranda drew a big breath, solidifying her voice against the storm inside. "Yes, I am going to defend him. This is another good man, Ethan. Principled. You, on the other hand, have none." Williams scoffed, shaking his head as if he could not believe what he had just heard. "Principled? Is that what you're calling him? This failed man in every aspect of his life? You can't be serious, Miranda. Get a life.""Wasting my time? Not even a bit," he came back quick, and her tone sharpened. "He is so much more of a man than you will ever

The Restored stock
Williams stretched out in prison, looking for a better way of handling the situation but found none as everything that came knocking on his door came with a lot of baggage that he could not even comprehend and was looking for the best way to handle the situation. He shouldn't have allowed his anger to get the best out of him because now he was behind bars again for the same reason he wanted to leave. "Do not come over here unless you have something tangible to tell me. If you want to convince me why don't you go ahead and just tell me from the start instead of making me believe that I have a chance but that's not the truth of the matter." He said a little bit annoyed when he saw Ethan again. This time Ethan had forgotten what it felt to be remorseful especially when he came to somebody like this and he wanted to treat him to a point where he would regret his life and never tried the same thing that he did in the beginning. "I was going to be merciful to you but I realized that you
The Returnee
Williams looked at the interior of the cell wondering how his life had declined to this state where he could no longer feed properly and was left to rot inside a place where he had absolutely no idea what was going on. It was almost as though he was wasting his time here when it could be outside taking revenge. The amount of pain that he felt was enough to send him almost across borders, but he didn't say a word; instead, he just kept on looking. The only reason that he had not committed suicide was because he didn't want Ethan and Miranda to win. They were the ones behind all of this he knew this. He just needed somebody who could trust him enough to bring him out of this mess and then he would show them the stuff that he was made of without having to break a sweat. The problem of having to wait for so long before somebody decided to take pity on him was something that he did not want to take for granted, but at the same time, he was still trying to figure out what to do next.
Odds and Opps
A little more push and Williams would have confessed that he was the one who had pulled that stunt but he already had a goal and had not achieved it yet. He would rather die than to speak up, even if the people were being screened one after the other. "Oh, is there anything wrong with you apart from the fact that you already have things set up? I don't know why you will restrict us from leaving when my mother is already in the hospital? I can't stay here simply because you did not trust that the people you employed would not have a hand in this shenanigans!"As truthful as his words might have sounded, everything was completely fake to Ethan and he began to watch the person carefully. For him to possess such an audacity, he had something to hide and it was not something small. Phil's manager also felt the same way and he turned to look at the person who was challenging him. This wasn't somebody who was begging for a job, instead it was somebody who couldn't wait to get out of thi
Explosions
"Somebody grab this man! He was the one talking to her before she fainted. Who knows if he has done something simply because she doesn't like him anymore? I don't know why you would subject yourself to such horror simply because you cannot take the hint that this woman doesn't want you in her life anymore?!" The insult did nothing against Ethan as Cassandra's fiance kept on shouting and trying to disgrace him."I'm sure you have the CCTV cameras, why do you act like a local? If you cannot use your money wisely, do you even think you should get married?" Ethan pointed at him in a derogatory manner. "I'm not going to stand here and watch you insult me simply because you cannot use your intelligence. I don't bloody care about your opinion about me either, in case you have not noticed."The insults run deeper than Phil intended it to. His face colored, as he moved closer, attempting to smack this man across the face and show everyone that he was capable. "Oh you wouldn't dare do that to
The poison
Williams watched from the server's desk, wearing his mask over his face as he moved around, entertaining visitors and asking what they would like. This idea was suggested by his friend which he had initially thought didn't make any sense until he realized how important it was to him and then figured out that he had probably lost a lot."So, what the hell is this? Do you think that I would not have been mad at you or something? I have more than enough reason not to listen to your words even if you try." Cassandra challenged Ethan when he pointed out the obvious. "My husband is a straight man, he loves me so much and...""He is bisexual. Cassandra you don't want to end up with someone like this. You cannot cope. You know this deep down, so why the unnecessary anger at me? Didn't you have a check like you should? or let me guess... You just wanted to snatch anyone that you could find and didn't mind what could come out of it right?""Yeah, and what business of yours is it? Is there any
Death trap
"Merriment has never suited anyone better than you." Ethan said with a small smile that screamed annoyance when he came in contact with Cassandra.Cassandra's eyes widened in horror at his presence, hoping that this was nothing but a prank. "You came!" She exclaimed.Ethan laughed at her unnecessary surprise because he felt like she should have known by now that he would have figured out that she was trying to move on with another person. "What kind of ex would I be if I didn't show up at your intimate engagement? Does Williams know that you are getting married to another person?" He asked in a good natured tone, shocking her to the bone.If anyone had told Cassandra a long time ago that she would have to bother herself so much about Ethan, she would have refused and called them a liar. "So what?" She challenged, "Are you going to tell him? Are you going to scream at the top of your voice that I have decided to move on with my life and not get carried away by whatever is expected o
The Wedding
"Engaged? To whom?" Ethan asked with mild curiosity, as he kept on scrolling through his phone, looking for the news in the media. How she had managed to keep it hush was still a surprise to him because immediately the media got wind of such news, they would have a field day publishing it to whomever it may concern. "So, according to insiders, it is rumored that now that Williams has been stripped of his position and she has no need for him anymore, she decided to move on with life and I don't blame her one bit." "Yeah, right. That is wonderful to hear. I wouldn't advise her to stay with him either." Ethan responded. Not only was Williams now broke, he was also a woman beater, who knew what she could say that would anger him and that may lead to her demise, so it was better that she was far away from him where he couldn't touch her. "Yeah, right. I have absolutely nothing to fear, and at the same time, I still feel like there is an issue somewhere that I have to address. Do you h
The Old Flame
Ethan leafed through the pages of information before him, enjoying his solitude. He had been used to being alone most of the time and now that wasn't just going to change because Miranda had also traveled to Zanzibar.Since she wasn't wanted by the cops, there was no need for her to remain in the country like her ex fiance and while there was a huge difference between both parties, they ensured that they remained as cordial as possible. His phone rang, cutting off his attention from what he considered important to himself."Jenna?" "Y-yeah, I'm on my way to your house. I hope you are at home. Even if you aren't, I would wait for you. I wanted to inform you about my movement so that you don't get worried about it." She explained. As much as he would have loved some more explanation he just figured out that she always found her way around things and the best way was to let her do her thing. He could handle her surprises better than Miranda. "Tell me the details for your arrival. Hav
The Recruit
"I have only wanted nothing more than to have someone by my side who could always understand me whenever there were problems. Mr Ethan is a dangerous person to cross in case most of you have not figured out that yet. If you have forgotten, I think this is your reminder." The man kept on speaking. Ethan watched them from his office, he needed somebody to put instead of him by the time he was gone from Miranda's company. He of all people knew that he wouldn't be here forever and that was enough to send him into a frenzy. It was also enough to make him begin to have other thoughts. "So, has there been anything that you have done against this company that we don't know because the moment we find out, trust me when I say that you wouldn't be spared. I don't care how long it has taken you to build a reputation. I would crumble it." Lily in the sales department spoke up. She wasn't going to allow somebody to make her look like the bad person when it wasn't as though he was also perfect h
