VOWS OF VENGEANCE Dividends
It was about 7;30 am when Ethan walked into the office building that morning, earlier than his usual eight. He had a coffee in one hand and his phone in the other. The place smelled faintly of old paper and fresh polish, a clear sign that the janitors had done their rounds. He mentally made a note to thank them. But as he got to his office that morning, something felt off. The first thing he noticed was the stack of books sitting on his desk, open, some pages flipped through, some with notes scribbled in the margins, something he absolutely hated. His brows pulled together. Who the hell had been in here last night? He set his coffee down and moved closer, his fingers trailing over the pages. Stocks, Expense reports and even Purchase orders. It didn’t take him long to realize who had done this. Miranda. She must’ve been here last night and went through the files. But judging by the way she’d left them half-open and untouched beyond a few scribbles here and there , she clearly h
VOWS OF VENGEANCE Fractured Foundations
Ethan could feel the tension in the air the moment he stepped into the house that evening. Miranda was in the kitchen, moving around with a little too much force, she worked with all the anger in her, slamming drawers shut and setting plates down harder than necessary. The aroma of what she had cooked filled the room, but when he walked in, she didn’t acknowledge him. Instead, she took a plate and sat down at the dining table with only one serving.Ethan leaned against the counter, crossing his arms. "How was your day Miranda?”She completely ignored him. He wasn’t fazed and pressed on.“Where’s mine?" He asked playfully.Miranda finally looked up. "Oh, I didn’t think you’d want any. You know, since you don’t approve of how I spend my money and all." Ethan exhaled sharply. "You’re seriously this mad because I gave you an advice?" She stabbed her fork into her food. "It’s not about what you said, Ethan. It’s about control." "Control?" He frowned. "Miranda, this is about res
VOWS OF VENGEANCE Stock keeping
Williams couldn't quite place his finger on where exactly the problem came from. All he could think about right now was how he would be able to analyze and finalize everything that was holding him backward. The major reason he was a little bit hesitant to show how he was truly feeling was simply because he knew that handling things this way was only going to cause him more issues. Picking up his phone, he tried to reach out to Jada,, who had been ignoring his calls completely, making him worried for his life and sanity. If what he was thinking was true then he had no place anywhere and needed to find a solution before things went out to hand. Left with no choice he reached out to Cassandra again. "I'm sorry to bother you after saying that I wouldn't, but this is very important to me, and you have got to cut me some slack. I have come through for you countless times." "I don't think you should emotionally blackmail me into helping you out. If you simply need my help, why don't
VOWS OF VENGEANCE Clearing the aisle
Losing Cassandra's number was one thing; the other was getting Miranda to come close to him and finally discuss why she had been acting like he was the devil's spawn. For all he knew, he was just doing what he knew how to do best,, which was making sure that everything went as planned, but here she was acting like he did something out of this world. The amount of hatred that he had faced from her was enough to send any reasonable person running, but he decided not to be that person who easily gave up. He decided to go over to where Miranda to be easily found. He was tired of pretending like everything was fine when his life was growing downhill, and he was being threatened right, left, and center. It wouldn't make any sense to keep on wallowing in problems when he just did something to alleviate the situation, even if it meant striking another deal. Miranda was shocked twelve minutes later when she saw Williams at her doorstep. " this is nonsense. The last time I saw you, I told
VOWS OF VENGEANCE Ready To Seep
"He's on a mission to probably end my life and you have to come to my rescue. I don't know why he is so concerned about having me on a record that is not even done." Miranda complained immediately after she walked into the house that day. Luckily for her, Ethan had been available when he was not talking to his girlfriend. Ethan put down his own immediately and listened to her complaints. "I honestly think you are overreacting. We know that he cannot do anything except you give me the permission to so I think we should work on why he thinks he has an advantage over you instead of something else." "There has been absolutely nothing that should warrant you to be afraid unless you have things that you have done in the past that you're not too proud of. I would suggest that you let me know this so that I can work on it. How about that?" "Absolutely not. I was thinking of something recently and came up with the idea, and if it's not going to be worth telling the world then I shouldn't
VOWS OF VENGEANCE In The News
Jada's attempt to apprehend Ethan at the casino was a colossal failure. The instant she fired the gunshot at the man who stood up to accuse Ethan of offending him, she attracted the attention of Ethan's burly guards who were stationed outside. She had been hoping to shoot Ethan, and if she had been patient enough to place the right target, she would have been successful. Now, an innocent man was struggling to breathe in an ICU. After this occurrence, the entire underground world and social media burst into an uproar. Everyone began to question what Williams's exact motives were. A thorough investigation was conducted and then it was discovered that he had violated the rule of the made men coven. Ethan had not committed any offense against him, he only made the bounty decree to rile up innocent people and perpetrate rancor in the society. To the regular people, Williams had merely decided to assassinate a fellow businessman because he had been jealous. Miranda did a good job promoti
VOWS OF VENGEANCE Remorse
Since Jada turned down Zachary's idea of escaping the country together, she had no choice but to move out of her estate apartment and cut off her hair. Zachary made a huge sacrifice putting his freedom on the line just to keep her safe and she appreciated it. The poor guy always thought they would both leave their lives of crime behind, start a new life, and have children. But she hadn't loved him that much, unfortunately. She prayed she survived long enough to repay Zachary's kindness and the only way to do this was to seek help from the last person she ever expected—Ethan. All she had to do was to present Ethan enough evidence to press charges against Williams and she would be free. The bastard would never again be in the position to torment her or make threats against her life. And who knows, Zachary might even return to the city. Life without an identity and the proper roof of her head had taken a toll on Jada's well-being. And despite that, she still felt as though she was

Relinquish
Relinquishing all his control and power to somebody who didn't even care about the company that much but just wanted to see him destroyed made Williams worried for himself. He wasn't going to accept something that was going to bring him problems, neither was he going to accept something that was going to land him in trouble in the future. If he could get Ethan's word that he would be protected forever, then he would never need to worry his head about anything else in the world besides to just keep on relaxing and hoping that he got answers soon. "You shouldn't be so sure of yourself whenever you make decisions or offers, sometimes we might have our plans and they end up turning out to be better than anyone else. If you think I'm lying, why don't you try it out? Tell somebody else to take this offer and watch them flip the script on you." He told Ethan stylishly that he was having various plans up his sleeves. Ethan also wasn't going to just wait and expect that the person he was t
The Salesman (II)
Ethan saw the conflicting look on his opponent's face and figured out that he had already clocked in. He just needed to push a little bit, and this man would fall into his trap, and then it would be a done deal, and everybody would part ways. Then he would have the sole ability to do whatever he wanted and get away with it. Most importantly, Williams wanted to take revenge and that was his opening. "I see you as a man who wants revenge at all costs, but you found no one to trust you or attempt to assist you. Would you allow the fear of me winning to overcome you instead of figuring out how you would be able to do the same? Come on, you, of all people, should be smarter than that." The instructions were clear: Ethan wanted to rule every affair related to Williams, and he had a choice of letting that happen or standing ground and making sure that this didn't continue. "You must think that I am a fool not to understand what you are driving at and how this would work right? It's a
The Salesman (I)
William stamped his foot on the ground, weighing his options. It was a little bit great to start weight but he could already foresee the end of this bargain. "Make me a better offer and I wouldn't hesitate." He demanded, his fingers crossed as he waited for what he had planned to come to pass and then he would be able to deflect every form of tyranny that came with his association with Ethan. Ethan laughed, a little bit perplexed that this man in front of him still didn't understand that he had a lot of ideas on his mind. "Let me break this down to you in case you have suddenly forgotten your current dilemma. You are one of the worst people in the world right now, and everyone is looking for a better way of serving you justice; if I can help you find a way of pleading not guilty, you would have to do everything that I say. It isn't even negotiable." "Yeah, right. I would have believed this if I didn't have other plans up my sleeves. I think you are only trying to take advantage of
The Last Deal
Proceeding out of your hidden zone wasn't the best way to go but Williams had practically no choice at this point. She had been hoping for a break and now that he had the opportunity to learn his hands on it he wasn't there to let it slip off his fingers. “I am heading south. You should catch up with me. I am in a black SUV.” Ethan explained. “Alright, then. I'll be there.”Ethan contacted Jada immediately who had begged him to make him know when her opponent was coming out. “He is already heading my way but I don't want you to do anything yet. He doesn't trust me and we have to ensure that he does, if he keeps on suspecting me what good is that? It is only going to complicate issues and that is the last thing I want.” He reminded her. Jada tapped her feet in anticipation of further destroying Williams reputation. She just needed to get footage that she could spread lies about and also involve Cassandra who was trying to leave now that she realized that she probably might be in a
Kick Offs
Williams looked right and left before he could cross the road just to see if anyone was coming behind him or trying to find out where he was about to move to. Ethan watched him from the car where he sat, wondering how this man intended to break out of prison without going through the normal way of pleading. His phone started to ring and he laughed in wordly. This was the best way to deal with people who felt like they had an idea of how life should work instead he was going to make him realize that things didn't go smoothly all the time. “I can see you already in the restaurant, why don't you walk to the car? You don't want to be caught in an open place, do you?” Williams hung up immediately and looked around trying to figure out where Ethan was watching from. Ethan loved the show of shame because now Williams was going to fear him even without saying a word. Williams, mustering courage, called back just to be sure that he was talking to the right person. “I would love to meet
Stowed Away
“THE HEADLINES: A MAN WAS SEEN TRYING TO BREAK OUT OF PRISON AND WAS CONVICTED. RUMORS SAY THAT IT WAS THE FORMER BUSINESS MOGUL, BUT WE ARE YET TO GET ANY INFORMATION.” Ethan watched the news the next day, with a slight shake of his head. There was absolutely no way it wasn't true because Jada had informed him before then.Miranda came in just in time to see the news flashing on the screen and was a little bit confused. “Don't tell me that it is Williams over there.” She said, taking a seat beside him. “I don't see any reason why he should try to break out when he knows that everyone is already fixated on him and what his next move should be. I don't know why he doesn't want to keep his head low. Does he still want to contact us?” She got on speaking. Ethan wasn't in the mood to indulge her or talk right now because he was trying to figure out William's next move. “According to the news like you have seen, it has not been confirmed so we shouldn't be found talking about something
Locked Away
Williams thought about his previous life and how things suddenly went downhill for him. All of this started when she decided to employ Jada. She was the one who ruined his life to the point where it currently was. There was absolutely no way that he was going to be able to be free from this mess if he didn't stand his ground and make sure that she no longer had power over him. He stroked his beards gently, thinking of how things began. She was the only picture that was coming into his mind and at that point there was absolutely nothing he could do to erase it. It was more of an introspective way of thinking as to why things got destroyed beyond repair and how he had lost in the grand scheme of things. "You shouldn't bother yourself about thinking about the past. It's all the matter of time before things begin to work normally. The moment you are able to take out the fact that you need revenge you will be able to be free." Somebody called through the other side of the prison
A failed Plan. (I)
As much as he wanted to prove to himself that he was more than any one who was trying to help him he also knew that there were a lot of things that needed to be assigned. One of them included acting like he didn't have any choice or hope to be free. All the jobs assigned to him the previous day were done with so much enthusiasm that even the fellow inmates were a little suspicious of his new attitude. It wasn't as easy as he posed it to be but at the same time he also faked an apology to demand he had been engaged in an altercation with. His excuse was that he had a bad day and that was why he went off for a man who had done nothing to hurt him. Williams waited patiently counting his breath as the warden moved around to take roll calls as usual. It ended up in a state of nothingness followed by a large breakdown as the warden stopped in front of his cell, looking at him keenly. "Williams, come out!" He commanded.
Enemy's pardon
Williams stood in front of the ledge his eyes roaming about as he contemplated suicide. There was absolutely nothing for him to live for and the proposition that his enemy had brought up was nothing to write home about. He would rather grovel at the feet of someone he didn't know than to allow Ethan to win him. It wasn't something he had envisaged but, sending him to wash the latrines was not the way to go or leave his life. "Mate, you still think of yourself as high and mighty don't you? Why don't you do something else that helps you out instead of hoping or thinking that you will be able to break out? It's not as easy as it is portrayed in movies!" Someone clapped him at the back and held his hands. He looks at the man who stared at him lewdly. He was up to no good and he wasn't about to become a victim in a place where he should be victorious. "I think that all of you are just perverts looking for ways to fuel your perverseness. I
