Valkyrie scowled at her friend. She supposed she should expect nothing less from Alexa and pushed to her feet. “I got your peace offering,” Alexa said over her shoulder before stepping off the roof and disappearing from sight. Val turned to see Gregor Black seated at the head of the table. In his early forties now, Gregor had ages some from her memories but still had the powerful build and broad shoulders she remembered. She figured she got at least some of her height from his tall frame, which stood at six foot four inches. It was after dinner when Valkyrie arrived back at the general’s estate. This tale has now come to a conclusion and my contract for this book has run its 6-month course. It has been a long road, and so far its been a great experience. Valkyrie Black has some amazing readers but as we come to the end of this season, it will take a lot for my editor to be ready to sign an extension contract. Chapter 158: The Battle of Uthril
Fire erupted across the field as two spectra ingus sent balls of flaming death at a company of one hundred rune blade warriors. They were not part of a quad, but had the courage to charge the enemy as a team.
