Chapter Ninety four

The afternoon was gradually fading away to pave for the evening to set in.

Emily is still having a difficult time escaping from her room as she fears that her father might be lurking around somewhere monitoring her movement so he can grab her phone which has all the answers to his questions.

Her father might not be against her friendship with Stephanie, but he certainly cares so much about his daughter's safety and would do anything to guarantee that.

Hearing Emily speak about Stephanie's father's death raised his eyebrows that his daughter knows too much which would, of course, pose a threat to her life.

While he tries to make Emily open up to him as her father, she's proving obstinate and refusing to trust him enough with sensitive information, not after he had previously cajoled into a marriage against her wish. The last thing Emily would do right is make the same mistake by trusting her father again.
