Chapter fifteen

The elderly man said, his eyes fixed on Christian. Christian, on the other hand, was completely unfazed and simply stared back at him with a calm expression.

"I see…" The man muttered again, then closed his eyes.

"He may leave now. I've seen what I needed to see, there's nothing more," he added, causing a frown to appear on Alice's face.

"Father, I thought you wanted to watch his arts skills?" she questioned, a little anxious.

But her father's cold demeanor and dismissive aura made her shudder and back away.

"I don't need to repeat myself twice," he said coldly, then picked up the jade cup from the table, which held a hot tea inside. He placed the cup on his lips and took a sip of it.

"This is very good," he said, with a pleasant smile on his face.

Alice stared at her father for a moment, understanding that he didn't want this matter to continue. With that, she turned towards Christian and flashed him an apologetic look.

"I'm sorry," she muttered, bowing her head in shame.
