How would you feel if the last thing before you lost consciousness was your fall?

It feels like you know you are in danger, but you can’t do anything about it except embrace the helplessness.

When I woke up, it felt like I had done a full day of military training. Every muscle in my body was in pain and screaming for me to rest.

However, I can’t afford to rest right now. I don’t know where I fell and how deep this place is.

Also, it doesn’t seem like I was injured from the fall; however, my clothes are all wet. It looks like I fell into some sort of underground water source.

Well, it is good, nevertheless. Because water absorbed the impact of my fall, I didn’t have any injuries. Moreover, this place is warm, which makes the possibility of hypothermia very low.

The injuries from my previous fight have also healed completely; it looks like I slept for at least three hours.

Then, I started to observe my surroundings.

It seems I am in some sort of a cave. The ceiling is 10.7 meters high, and its width is 5.3 meters. There are flowers scattered around the cave, but the thing is, they are emitting a grey light.

It gives a vibe that I am walking under the moon near the lake. There is a stream of water flowing deep inside the cave, which is probably the reason why I drifted here.

As a whole, this place gives me a unique feeling. It feels like something deep inside is calling me, but it doesn't emit any pressure. And by the looks of it, I can’t go back because I can hear the sound of dripping water, which indicates that there is a waterfall behind.

With that conclusion, I started to walk deep inside the cave. But this time, I am on high guard in case something ambushes me here.

While I walked, I didn’t forget to observe my surroundings. There are engravings of people worshipping something. But the place where the thing they worship is blank, or should I say replaced with an empty block.

The wall looks like a mural, and this place doesn’t seem like a natural cave. It feels like someone deliberately made the ceiling and environment look natural.

While thinking like that, I finally managed to reach the end of the cave, but wow, just wow.

This place is so beautiful.

Let me remind you that my sense of beauty is a bit twisted, and because of the trait [Perfectionist], I can’t accept even a tiny bit of mistake while appreciating beauty. And, because of the [Geometric Eyesight], it is tough for me not to find any mistake in something.

However, the scenery in front of me is breathtaking. There is not anything asymmetric or any color contradiction, and everything is a work of art.

“Welcome, oh my lonely child.”

I heard someone calling me with a divine feminine voice inside my head.

It seems there is some sort of deity living here. I hope I haven’t looked rude and offended her somehow.

“I pay my respects to the mighty one, my I know what your name is?”

With a respective tone, I decided not to make this deity any longer.

“No need to be this respectful. I am nothing like a deity but a sunken ship.”

She says with sadness all over her voice.

What does that mean? I can’t figure out what this person thinks right now.

“What should I call you then?”

I asked.

“You can call me ‘Selene’.”

It looks like she hasn’t talked with anyone for a long time since she even forgot to introduce herself. Or it might be an act to lower my guard. I should be cautious and carefully analyze everything she says.

“No need to be this paranoid. Don’t worry. I am not your enemy, and I don’t mean any harm.’

It seems like she can read my thoughts to a subtle extent.

Well, looks like this doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. However, this could be dangerous, and if I have relatively essential thoughts in my head before this trait is activated, I could lose some important information.

“It seems you are not that simple, different from how you look. This is good. At the very least, I finally managed to end my duty in this place. I sincerely thank you for coming here and freeing me from these chains called missions.”

She says with a sincere heart. But I am a bit confused. What was that supposed to mean?

“What do you mean by that, and where are you going?”

I decided to ask.

“You will get your answers after a while. You shall be patient and not rush anything in your life. Your destiny is not simple, and you have a very thorny road ahead, and only you can overcome your destiny. But, I shall leave now, and don’t forget.

 ‘When everything goes into the darkness, it is the moon that spreads light over the night.’. I hope you don’t lose your light at the end of your path, oh my lonely child.”

After saying that and leaving me with more questions than answers, she, with a shiny white pillar piercing through the heavens, left.

However, before she started ascending, I saw a glimpse of her.

With long slender, platinum hair, incredibly elegant facial features, lips red like a rose, and black eyes that could make anyone in the world lost in them, she was by far the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

I almost lost my composure and began running at her, but I stopped and watched her fade into the pillar.

“-lios.”

Before she left, I saw her muttering something but was only able to understand the last part.

With that, she left, and everything around me started to collapse. In the center of the place, there was a portal, and immediately without even thinking for a second, I started to run to the gate and passed through it immediately.

After passing through the portal, I found myself in a place which resembles the Ancient Greek Cities’ architecture.

There are several enormous marmoreal buildings everywhere.

And I am on a circular platform, which has no connections with anything.

It looks like I am in some sort of fighting ring.

“You shall survive.”

With an intimidating male voice, someone called out to me.

It looks like I was right on that assumption since, in front of me, there is a gladiator…
