After I stepped into the wilderness, I could see that there were several other people who wanted to start early as well. Because this place is close to the entrance point, there aren’t many dangerous monsters around here.

Some of the merchants turned this place into some sort of safe point and sold some potions, maps of the terrain, tents, food, etc.

“Wow, a merchant can sell everywhere, I guess.”

I muttered.

‘Now, firstly, I need to find a good place to ambush and position myself.’

I thought. Because, in the first place, without the element of surprise and range advantage, being a ranger is useless.

‘If I remember correctly, in the outer region of this area, there are white-horned rabbits, and red wolves reside.’

‘It will be tough to aim them accurately once they are aware of my existence, so I need to land my first shot.’

I thought, and with that, I started to delve into the wilderness.

My talent [Foresight] is very helpful in combat. Because when Darius was getting beaten by Ronan, this talent was activated automatically, and he could see the places where Ronan would attack. However, because of his low endurance, he couldn’t keep up dodging and ended up getting beaten.

But I can use this talent to predict the movement pattern of monsters, and with that, my accuracy will be higher.

After five minutes of wandering, I finally found prey.

There was a lone, white-horned rabbit drinking water from the river.

I got into the position and relaxed my nerves and muscles. I equipped my bow with a normal arrow, and with my talent [Geometric Eyesight] and [Foresight] combined, I could see the possible pattern of my arrow and white-horned rabbit.

I took a deep breath, relaxed my muscles, started to stretch the bow, and released the arrow.

The arrow penetrated the eye of the white-horned rabbit, and it died instantly.

‘Well, it was easier than I thought. However, there may be a colony of white-horned rabbits, and most of the red wolves are drawn to the smell of blood; I shouldn’t lower my guard.’

I thought and took the horn of the rabbit as a haul because the only thing that can be sold about white-horned rabbits is their horn.

With that, I resumed wandering around the area. And I kept observing as I moved. I marked good places to position or use while escaping on the map.

After that, I saw a group of 5 white-horned rabbits eating a deer and decided to attack.

Because I am fairly new at using a bow, it is very hard for me to hit all of them at the same time; thus, I decided it would be best to injure most of them as possible.

‘I need to be aware that this is not the body of Joshua. There will be some disorganization, so I better be prepared.’ I thought and decided to start before they finished their meal.

I nocked two arrows on my bow and shot them at the closest ones. With a *swish* sound, the first one got hit on its belly and started convulsing.

 However, the second one avoided the critical wound at the last second, and they became aware of my existence.

With the loss of the surprise element, I immediately used my skill <Dash> and sprinted to the group.

With my speed doubled, I reached the one who avoided my arrow instantly and beheaded his head with my dagger.

*Splurt*

However, this speed was a bit fast for me to control, so I lost my balance only for a second, but that gave the other three to opportunity to attack.

I immediately raised the dagger on my right hand and parried the horn of the closest one. However, I couldn’t avoid the second one, and its horn pierced my left leg.

“Ughh, it hurts.”

It hurt quite a lot, but because of the trait [Calm Mind], I didn’t lose my cool and immediately pierced its eyes with my second dagger.

Apparently, their weakness is their eyes and their abdomen.

And I threw the dagger in my right hand to the last one, but it didn’t die immediately.

The one I parried started to attack again, but with a swift bending of my knees, I dodged its attack and separated its abdomen with a clean cut from below.

And I drew my bow, nocked an arrow, and killed the last one with a neat shot to its neck.

All of these happened in 10 seconds. However, because after 5 seconds, my skill got deactivated, I almost lost control of my body and died.

‘It would be better if I practice this skill in the future.’ I thought while drinking a potion.

‘If I didn’t have the [Dash], these white-horned rabbits would be a troublesome opponent. I need to do something about this body’s condition too. I am already a bit tired,’ I thought and started to harvest my gains.

In terms of speed, white-horned rabbits are one of the most agile low G-rank monsters; however, because [Dash] increased my speed to the G+, I was able to deal with them.

After I harvested my haul, I started to search for a place where I could use my skill [Hawkeye], and after searching for a little, I found a hill and climbed on it.

Right now, I can use [Hawkeye] in a range of at most 200 meters for 5 seconds, and the lower the range is, the longer the duration. I decided to use it in the 100-meter range for 10 seconds.

‘Hmm, it seems I accidentally invaded the territory of Red Wolves; however, on the map, it shows the territory of Red Wolves a bit further. There might be something forcing Red Wolves to leave their territory. There is a possibility of the appearance of a unique monster, so I better be careful not to delve too deep into the forest.’

I thought and started to change my position. I need to avoid the Alpha of the Red Wolf herd because it is a peak G rank monster, and it can use magic, so it would be very hard for me to fight with it.

However, it seems luck is not on my side today.
