Mockery and Insults

CHAPTER SEVEN

Vince looked up to the lady who had been shouting and wallowing in rage all this time as he instantly knew the voice.

"Aubrey!!" He called out her name and the lady was shocked to see the person in front of her.

She was Vince's step-sister, Aubrey Hutchinson.

"Vince!! You're still alive." Despite the shock on her face, she scowled. God alone knows how unhappy she was to see him again.

As Vince rose to his feet, his brow wrinkled. "You want me dead,"

"Are you seriously blind? Don't you see me coming?" Rolling her eyes, Aubrey Hutchinson yelled at him in a furious manner.

Vince became enraged because he was sick of people making fun of him or treating him like trash.

"Did you not see me approaching too? Why the uncivil behavior when we are both at fault here?" At her face, he spat back.

When it came to the people she had hated, which included him, Vince knew she had always been that fiery.

There was no denying that she was gorgeous and beautiful, with her eyes blazing at him from close range like sharp daggers and her hair partially coiled down to her neck.

As a result of their actions, the bankers and clients gradually congregated in front of them. They all take a break from their tasks to listen to their contentious discussions.

"Give the documents to me already!"  Angry-looking Aubrey pointed to the papers in his palm.

, "You mean this?" Vince spoke while repeatedly glancing at her and raising the papers in the air.

"Yes, please give it to me!" He was being attacked by her long, angry lashes as she snarled.

With that said Vince responded, "Then take it" and flung the papers up. When they reached the ground after flying through the air, everything was covered with debris.

"Vince!!" He had just humiliated her in front of all of these people, Aubrey clinched her teeth and sputtered violently.

GASPS!!

The young man's actions caused the bystanders to gasp as they all assumed he didn't know who Aubrey was!

"Who is he?"

"Doesn't he know the daughter of Hutchinson?" Around the area, murmurs could be heard.

He whispered after a mocking smile slowly emerged on his face. "Excuse me!" He approached the man who had called him earlier.

"Good day! I'd like to see the Manager." He requested.

Aubrey came up with a plan to avenge herself by turning the crowd against him. The embarrassment was just too much for her.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!" She spoke up to get their attention, then noticed Vince looking at her. "That is Vince, the Hutchinson family's rejected son."

"What!?"

"Hahahaha!!" The onlookers laugh uncontrollably and speak disparagingly of him.

"Look at how filthy he is!"

"He actually came here to borrow money. Such a poor boy!" People mockingly laughed. Everyone believed Aubrey was just poking fun of him.

"He may pass away at any moment, thus he truly needs the loan." The crowd erupted into more laughter when someone said something in a mocking manner.

They all ridicule him. Vince, though, was completely humiliated by it. He could make out Aubrey's creeping, vengeful smile.

He was irritated in a sharp way. She had made a point of making fun of and insulting him.

For a brief period, Aubrey looked at the remark with a crafty grin and a mocking smirk. "Poor boy, I'm so sorry!" She grumbled.

Aubrey fixed her gaze on those in front of her. "I wish he was six feet below the surface." They were all laughing and calling him names.

Even more irritated, Vince thought Aubrey's words were a complete curse rather than a wish.

He approached her quickly and took her by the left arm. "What exactly did you say?" He looked into her eyes and saw nothing but hatred.

In pain, Aubrey yanked her arm away from his hold.

"You heard me right!" She snarled.

He had to use all of his willpower to refrain from slapping her right away.

He refrained from striking her. He was aware that if he did, others standing behind her would merely perceive him as a man who beats women, which would only make the situation worse.

"I see that you genuinely despise me, as I did as well. However, that does not give you permission to curse at me."

"Do you realize that I have the power to imprison you with those hateful and profane words?" He burst into wrath.

She laughed. "You? Put me in prison?"

"You are nothing more than a rejected stone that will never succeed in either life or in dreams." While speaking, Aubrey gave him a threatening gaze.

"Have you never come across the adage which says; The Rejected Stone Becomes The Cornerstone," He snapped at her face.

"Just because I've been kicked out of the Hutchinson family doesn't mean I won't be wealthy." He added.

"Just a moment longer. All of the wealth that the Hutchinson family boasts about will soon turn to dust." Finally, he said.

"How is that even possible? What a moron!" She laughed.

"Wait and see," He gave it some thinking and went back to the man. "Could you please take me to Manager Gilbert?" He spoke while wearing a big smile.

"Sure! Please follow me."

"Don't you dare!" They immediately came to a stop as she yelled.

Vince turned to her. "Why do you think he would obey you?" He squinted.

"Because I'm his boss and I can fire him in a minute," she replied.

"Oh, really!" He watched as the man tremblingly walked back toward the counter. "I apologize. Mr. I do not want to lose my job."

Sighing, Vince hid his face in his hands. Right now, he appeared incredibly irritated and worn out.

"Vince!" When he heard his name being called, he looked up to see a familiar face gazing venomously at him.

Camilla it is, then he snarled.

"What have you done this time? Aren't you ashamed of yourself? You've caused another trouble." She spoke as she got to his place.

"You weren't satisfy with Hudson's beating?" She smirked.

"Do you know him?" Aubrey questioned while fixating on Camilla.

"Certainly, he is my ex." Aubrey laughed as she asserted, glaring contemptuously at Vince.

"You sadistic fellow, I regret ever crossing paths with you." She rolled her eyes and swore angrily.

Vince looked at a chair. He approached it, sat down, and then turned to face the two shameless women who were constantly hurling shady remarks and menacing stares his way.

He was aware that the abuse and ridicule had only just begun, therefore the issue is, who would save him?
