Chapter 127

Declan stepped into the bedroom for the third time that day, and Samantha had not moved a muscle.

She still lay there, facing the balcony, and he was not sure that she was awake already.

Ever since they came home from the hospital, she had been unusually quiet and had not been engaging.

The maids complained of her reluctance to have a bath or eat something.

Declan was not ready to upset her either. He let her be and asked them to allow her to do her thing until she was fine.

He knew she needed help but he would not send her away. He had brought in a doctor instead, one that was heavily paid to help her.

He had met her on a few occasions as she talked to herself. She would sit on the balcony and speak into the air, laughing hysterically at intervals.

It hurt him, that the woman he loved so much was beginning to go mad. It embarrassed him.

He had once had a meeting with his clients in the living room, and as the meeting went on peacefully, he saw the eyes of his clients fixed behind
