Chapter 13

“Yes,” Ares replied curtly, glancing down at her to see her reaction.

He could feel her grip on his hand get tighter and laughed, reading her thoughts. She seemed terrified of the idea of living in the same house as a man, a strange man like she thought he was.

“I…I…I’m not sure about that” she stuttered, her anxiety was getting the most of her. Her thoughts were beginning to run wild already.

“Don’t get yourself worked up, my apartment is large enough to hold five people. You’ll have enough space, and I’ll stay out of your way.” Ares assured her.

Sara let out a sigh of relief, just as the elevator came to a stop.

Ares led the way into the apartment, leading her by the hand, his cold hand was already familiar with her warm hand.

Sara felt a warm feeling of acquaintance as she stepped into the apartment. There was something weirdly acclimated about the place.

“So, here we are,” Ares said, letting go of her hand reluctantly, his hand felt empty and cold without hers.
