Chapter 180

Catherine glanced at the mirror before she walked out of the room, clad in a flowy skirt and a long-sleeved cardigan, as it promised to be cold out.

The living room was still empty, and she wondered what was taking Marilyn's time.

“Marilyn?” She called up the stairs. “We will be late, and we don't want that, so hurry.”

She stared blankly up the stairs and looked a little alarmed when she got no response.

The last time something like this had happened, she had found Marilyn passed out.

Catherine walked back up the stairs, her heart beating as she panicked.

“Marilyn?” She called as she knocked on the door, pushing it open when no reply came from within.

“Marilyn?” Catherine rushed to the bed when she saw her still tucked into bed.

“Catherine,” Marilyn called back sadly, her voice shook and Catherine could sense that she had been crying all this while.
