Chapter 89

Sara had freshened up immediately, ready to leave for the pharmacy with Anna

Anna had been looking at her a little too long since she made that statement about not wanting to be a mother.

As much as she wanted to tell her the truth, she was scared as to what Anna would think of her.

The pharmacy was in a supermarket not too far from the house, so Anna had suggested they walk, it was a chance for her to get to see the city a little, she had said.

So Sara had agreed immediately to it, she needed to clear her head after all, and now she had an opportunity she was not going to throw it away.

They walked hand in hand on the curb, Sara asked questions and Anna answered diligently.

“Sara?” Anna called in a concerned tone.

“Hmm” she hummed back.

“When you said something about not wanting to be a mother, were you serious?” Anna asked.

Sara did not answer right away, she contemplated telling Anna the truth. And decided to just trust her anyway.

“Yes, I was,” she said simply.
