Determination to Resolve Problems That Are Still Unresolved

Inside the room, Anne entered with a tablet in her hand. She immediately handed it to Hinz, who was sitting while checking the database.

"Commander, I've received a report that Force has eliminated the monsters attacking the northern defense territory..."

"Good..." He took the tablet and showed how the report was loaded with several writings and accompanied by a video.

He played the video and then showed Leyana's fighting skills. The woman's abilities were difficult to predict, able to move very quickly and bring death to the monsters.

As many as 300 monsters were successfully eliminated, which was hard to believe. Certainly, for normal people, eliminating creatures like raptors would be impossible, but Leyana and the Force members proved otherwise.

They were able to do this, supported by advanced equipment providing the best opportunities. But, this did not make Leyana happy at all.

She had been the most brutal in eliminating the monsters.

Leyana didn't like to talk about anything, ever since the incident with Zeigar, who was reported dead, her eyes always looked serious, and gazed towards the barren land, hoping there would be a miracle.

Zom and Ham dared not say anything, they still felt guilty about the incident, even Rega, Lara, and Dohn decided not to be part of the security division anymore, they actually chose to resign, especially Lara whose current condition was unknown.

Rega was known to have become a waiter in a small restaurant while Dohn was still accepted by a company developing weapons for security, he no longer wanted to go out on patrol for security reasons.

After staring at the barren land, Leyana began to return to Doom Mega. She didn't give any explanation, just passed through the room with a serious expression.

The operators who saw her face couldn't move, they could only breathe a sigh of relief after the Force members left.

"Oh my, why do the Force members have such terrifying auras, especially that woman earlier, does she really have a desire to protect all humans?" complained the operator.

"What are you talking about?"

Startled, he had hoped that his comrade who was there would respond, but in reality, the one who replied to his statement was a man from behind.

"Chairman..."

The man with a thick mustache and neat clothes stood with bulging eyes. "Don't talk too much, you have to monitor the current situation, don't let those monsters come..."

"Alright..."

After this incident, the monster corpses were not left alone, the bodies of these monsters were transported by a special division. Many people wondered what the use of this division was, even though the deaths of these monsters were outside the city's environment, and it would not pose any problems.

That was actually just shallow thinking. It was known the bodies of these monsters could rot, and the foul smell would attract the attention of more vicious monsters, which would clearly make the situation much worse.

And there was a research division that wanted samples from the bodies of the defeated monsters.

Hinz walked down the white-colored corridor, the atmosphere there was so cold, but it wouldn't make his soul tremble.

Anne who accompanied his destination, immediately shivered; the atmosphere there was quite silent with very unfriendly air.

In front of the automatic door, a scan was conducted, and once confirmed, they were allowed to enter the room.

There were several scientists working there, and in giant tubes were many remnants of monster body parts preserved.

"Oh, Commander Hinz, I didn't expect you to come here!" said a man who acted as the head of this research.

Hinz didn't look at the man, he was more interested in what was in front of him, namely the large monster body that had been successfully frozen in the tube.

"What's the progress with this matter?"

"As you can see right now, we are currently trying to develop this creature's body! And, the process we've done has reached 12 percent..."

"Hmm... that means it's still a long way off..."

"Yes, it might take several years to reach perfection, and that's if everything goes smoothly..."

Hinz just snorted with his gaze still locked on the tube, but that was only for a few moments. In the next few seconds, he turned around and said, "I'll be back when there's progress..."

"Yes..."

For the following days, the system continued to detect movements from the monsters, without a doubt, the Force team immediately took action. They hunted down and exterminated every monster that posed a threat to human safety.

Several years passed, and their task did not get any easier, in fact, the number of monsters carrying out attacks was much larger, they seemed to have the ability to defend themselves, but this could be interpreted as a new ecosystem for these monsters.

Until now, it was known that human technology was not yet able to determine the number of these monsters. It felt like the population of each monster was so large, and most of them were animals undergoing terrifying mutations, becoming more ferocious and fierce.

But, they tended to destroy humans, for some reason, it was believed that humans outside of Mega Doom would not be able to survive.

"Huh..."

The heartbeat continued at the same rhythm, still inside the special tube with green fluid.

The body was not wearing any clothes at all. There wasn't just him, but there was a middle-aged man doing activities, recording everything happening for his research.

"Hmm... who would have thought everything would go quite smoothly..." He was like the people from Doom Mega, he was a person with intelligence so he could create his own laboratory.

Six years ago, he accidentally found a human body lying in such a horrific state, he thought the man's body was dead, and his desire was to dissect it, but he saw the heartbeat still indicated signs of life.

Without much thought, he quickly proceeded to provide treatment. However, over the past 6 years, there were no signs the man would come back to life.

The only reason why the man could still breathe was because the device he was using continued to provide oxygen.

Beep...

This strange sound immediately made him turn around, and when he looked, the sound came from the heart rate indicator.

There was an increase, and immediately he looked at the man's eyes wide open, without much thought, he quickly reduced the fluid in the tube.

Everything was disposed of until only the man's body was left, he fell with still gasping breaths.

His pupils saw something strange, it seemed the floor there was gray.

"Where am I?"

"You're in my laboratory, I just saved you from death!"

"From death?"

"Do you remember who you are?" he asked in a friendly tone.

Shaking his head in frustration, the man said, "I don't remember who I am, why I'm here, and what happened to me?"

"Is that so, you've lost your memory! But, it's okay, you're currently in a safe condition, you should calm down first, let me continue examining you later! You try to stay calm..."

The old man immediately invited the person to sit down leisurely, and even he gave him some food.
