132 - ARROWS VS BLADES

The arrow whizzed through the air and closed in on Lily’s brother, but a blade made a block in time. Held in a somewhat tight grip, it didn’t not move a millimeter during the impact.

“It’s one after another,” the guard looked displeased as he landed back on the ground near the entrance. “This is why I hate living beings. They only know best to disrespect others. They are so foolish to disrespect their superiors, their emperor, and even God.” He pulled the arrow all the way back while looking at Edgar. “A mere foot disciple who doesn’t respect the hierarchy doesn’t get to live.” The arrow got covered with red drive right before he let go of it.

Fabby had just calmed herself, but because the guard wasn’t moving his feet, she couldn’t tell whether he was preparing to shoot or not.
