231 - MUSCLES OF METTLE

After watching the fight of the core disciples, Edgar and Fabby just couldn’t sleep quietly. They practiced for almost an hour.

Fabby stopped first and watched her little brother for a while. He kept practicing his swordplay. “Why do you practice random moves all the time?” she asked. “You should stick to a few moves and build on them first by repeating them until you master them.”

“Is that so?” Edgar put his sword forward. “Why don’t you show me?”

Fabby hadn’t swung a sword before, but she plucked it from his hand and tried thrusting and slashing with some intensity before looking at her brother. He didn’t seem satisfied. She upper her intensity and repeated the same moves. Another look at her brother, and his mouth turned down, followed by a slight shake of the head.

“Now, watch!” she put all her drive into her hand and crazily swung it diagonally. “Hiyaa!”

The sword flew at Edgar’s face. “Eeek!” he was not at all prepared, but his body instinctively moved just enough for the sword
