53 - CLOSE TO DEATH

Harley led the sheep to the south-eastern corner of the town, directly into the wide quick mud, and they got stuck in it. They kept struggling to get out, and that made them sink deeper rather quickly.

“Hmph, enrich the soil, you filthy sheep,” he muttered before flying away on his crow.

Only seconds later, Lice arrived there. It tried to hop on top of the sheep to reach the other side and run away into the fields.

Fabby, too, reached there and was out of breath. However, after seeing the monkey run away into the fields, she didn’t want to pursue it any further. It was just too dangerous to get far from the town because she heard that many beasts would be roaming all around the town for a few days after the war every time.
