Chapter 39. PROVING MY IDENTITY
At Carol's family home, she was a little overwhelmed by her daughter's attitude, who had been sulking and not even wanting to eat since her cancellation as vice chairman of the company.

“Come on, Briel. You're not a child.” Carol was still trying to persuade Briel who didn't want to eat. “At least grandma didn't remove your position. Alan is waiting for you to go to the office together.”

“I don't want to, Mom! I'm even sick of looking at his face.” Briel imagined Roselyn sitting in the vice chair with an arrogant style while pointing at her like a street dog. “I want to calm down.”

Carol gave up on persuading her foolish daughter for not getting up to retaliate. She left Briel's room to return to the dining room.

“What do you think?” asked Roman, Carol's husband. “Does she want to come down here and have breakfast together?” His face looked worried.
