BROKEN WORLDS
Haylee stared at her husband, unsure of what to say or do. She rubbed her palms together and sighed.

“I-I didn’t mean to do it, I did not mean to hit him that hard,” Elijah said, breaking the silence.

“Enough, Elijah. Enough.” Haylee silenced him her face bore an expression that made Elijah uncomfortable. “Tell me, why? Why did you do such a thing? Why would you want to ruin everything for me and my family? Why do you always make everything difficult for me?”

Elijah raised a brow, unexpecting what words Haylee spewed. He was unsure of what to say, remaining mute.

“Say something!” Haylee yelled at him, with her voice starting to break where she sat. “Grandfather made a deep mistake bringing you into our home, but he made an even worse mistake getting you married to me. I have never had a single day of peace for the past three years since I got married to you, my family turned on me. I lost my position in my grandfather’s inheritance and I am on the verge of losing everything complete
