At The First Destination
Chapter 1 Part 3Strangely, Amran came back to where we were along with the new girl, and she was still holding the two short swords but now with both of them in one hand. I took that as a chance and introduced myself, "Hello, my name is Aden." Then I pointed at the girls behind me and said, "Ladies, introduce yourselves, please." I was only able to introduce two of them since we claimed the third girl was with us and I don't know her, I wasn't able to introduce just the two of them and leave the third. I myself was curious to know the new girl's name, but about her story, I left that for a later time, since the situation was not favorable at the moment. After the two girls introduced themselves, the third one also did the same and said, "Hello, my name is Adline." Then we looked at the boy, and I don't know why, but he sighed before he answered and said, "Nice meeting you all, my name is Luke, this is my sister-in-law." He paused for a second and continued without telling us their names, "And those are her two kids. I apologize, I can't say anything more now. There are around 12 armed men approaching us, and they are going to reach us within 10 seconds."I looked at the open screen in front of me, and since I didn't have time to practice any of the weapons in my inventory and I didn't know how to use any of them, I had to choose something anyway, so I chose the long-range laser gun. I had no idea how it was going to appear, so I just extended my hand in front of me, but fortunately something similar to a square box appeared in front of my extended hand, and came out of that space came something with the shape of a gun about 8" (eight inches around twenty centimeters).I held it in my hand immediately. I was sure that this was the first time in my life I had held a real gun in my hand. Even with games, it was just a virtual gun using the keyboard to operate it. I wondered how I would be able to shoot anything with this thing. There was no manual for it; I thought that at least they should have provided an operating manual with it, but unfortunately, there was nothing like that at the same time. It came to my mind naturally, like I knew exactly what it was and how to use it. That is, of course, thanks to an A.I. chip that has been implemented in my brain. Now I know how to use it, but the most important question is, will I be able to use it actually in a real fight against a living human being? It seemed that while I was thinking of such things, the boy was observing me with me. Nothing him. I don't know for how long I have been thinking about this or how long the boy has been looking at me. I just heard the boy telling me in a harsh tone, "Don't think about it. If you do, this will be the last day of your life." Without waiting for a reply from me, he told the girls with a commanding tone, "You two without weapons, come closer to the rock, you with swords, stay behind them and check our backs." "And you, cover my left side and always stay behind the rock unless you are shooting back." He addressed me in the same way he said that and added, "They are here, be ready to engage.".... ... .....Amun's point of viewAfter Ajbadan said, "Let's keep on going; I also think that we need to find people so we can figure out where we are." He moved forward, and we all followed him. Since this was the only obvious option, we had to figure out where we were. Although there was danger involved with that option as well, there was still nothing else we could do. It didn't take us long to reach where the action was going on, that is when Ajbadan raised his hand, signaling for us to stop, and like a military unit, we all stopped at the same time. I tried to see what he saw and made him stop us, but unfortunately, all I was able to see was some shadows moving in front of us about twenty meters ahead. The distance was not that far, sure, I was able to see even further than that, but the obstacles were the dense forest, which was preventing me from seeing anything further than a few meters ahead of me. Still, what was obvious to me was that they were one of the parties that were fighting, and this was an enforcement to one of them, luckily, none of them noticed us and they kept moving forward. The logical thing to do in our case was to wait and see what was going on there before we made our selves known to them, and if I was able to reach that conclusion, obviously Ajbadan also reached that conclusion and decided to monitor the situation from his location. And once more he signaled to us to go down, actually, even before we saw his signal, I was the first one to do that, and Azmar did the same since he was holding my hand when he saw me do it. Raco was the only one who followed Ajbadan's signal a few seconds after me and Azmar, he was only a few steps ahead of us, so even whispering as he did, we were able to hear him saying "Stay here, I will go and check what is going on." We didn't say anything; we just nodded as an agreement to his suggestion or order since it was more like an order than a suggestion. My mind started to spin in an overdrive mode without my consent and started projecting scenarios one after another; most of them were a presentation of what if this happened or if that happened, and the conclusion was that we are in an anticipated situation, a situation that we didn't account for, which simply means that we are going to engage in fights we didn't ask for and didn't prepare for.I don't know what kind of weapon the other two have on themselves, but for sure, Azmar and I don't have any weapons, so that means we are going to be an easy target for the other party. The only solution I reached was to avoid any confrontation with them. But how likely that would happen, I was not sure of. While I was thinking about that I noticed Ajbadan coming back, and when he reached us he said in a low voice, "They are 12 heavily armed men, and their target appears to be six adults and two children hiding behind a big boulder." He paused for a second and continued, "Also, there was evidence of a previous fight which resulted in a few casualties, I guess both parties are professionals, so whatever the reason is, it's not a single easy matter but a complicated issue."I was listening to what Ajbadan was telling us and was wondering at the same time how I reached the same conclusion even before he reported to us, how was my estimate that correct with having all the facts, strange as they may be, that was happening at the moment, so I had to naturally complete his last sentence for him, saying "In that case the option for us is to wait it out, until everything becomes clear, it's not in our best interest to intervene in a situation we don't know anything about it." When I finished saying that, I noticed that everyone was looking at me with a surprise on their faces.Even I was surprised at how easily and naturally I said what I said, I didn't even think about what I was saying, it just came to mind and I said it without thinking about it at all. Everyone kept looking at me for a few seconds, then Ajbadan was the first one to recover from the surprise and say, "That was exactly what I was about to suggest; good work, Amran." I didn't have anything to
The Chosen One's Part 1 Chapter 5This time it was not as surprising as the first time, and there was no change in the information; it was the same as the first time, except now he was able to read it slowly and try to understand the meaning of what he saw in front of him. Now, though the last line was different, the information was as follows:Nam: Julian Age: 14Race: HumanRank: apprentice Status: healthySkills: Detection - ForesightGifts: Sight-Night VisionsGrade: 1 Phase: 1Points: 1Inventory: (four items)Remarks: Temp Mission: Survive Duration: 24 hours and 54 minutes.Reward: 200 credits. That means since he came to this forest, it's been only six minutes only, though it looked like more than half an hour for him. Thinking to himself, he said, "At least some time has passed, and all I am required to do is survive." The question is, will he be able to do just that? It's not just, "Just survive." How is it that simple? He knew from
Chapter 6The Chosen Ones Part 2Something is really wrong here, Julian wondered. Reading the list a few times, he noticed one other thing: the time really didn't decrease as he thought the first time but increased. Although it was something he didn't notice the first time and was not sure if the last time he saw it was 23 hours or 24 hours, but it was obvious that it had increased now instead of decreasing.Anyway, that is a different issue that he can solve at the moment; the urgent thing is to navigate the situation that he is facing now. The question is who to go straight to, wherever the destination that he supposedly reached was, and there is a fight going on in front of him, it is not like he can say, "Excuse me, can you please stop fighting until I pass?" He had no prior experience in situations like this or any other situations to being with.Standing in his place, he first looked at the man, who was standing alone and watching the fight like him. The man noticed when he appr

Being ignorant of life and what is going on around him didn't mean that he couldn't recognize that it was an impossible situation that he is facing at the moment. Yes, impossible. How could he encounter a situ
Chapter 8The Chosen Ones Part 4So he repeated his question once more, although I think maybe it was more than once: "Do you have any weapons?" What kind of question is that? Without even thinking much about it, without me doing it intentionally, I nodded with my head and said, "Yes, I do have some weapons." Suddenly, the screen popped in front of me again, and this time, the inventory was unlocked without me doing anything.- Unlocked inventory- Weapons available: 3 sets1. Two long swords, grade A 2. Two long daggers, grade A3. Two laser guns, one short-range and one long range.Tap into the desired weapon; it will materialize and be ready for your use.Was it natural for it to happen that way? I have no idea, really. When I saw the two other girls coming towards us, Amran was the other new young girl, and both of them had weapons in their hands. I was wondering who this young girl was, but before I asked anything, Aden spoke and asked us to introduce ourselves. Apparently, he c
Chapter 9The Chosen Ones Part 5What in the world is going on here? It seems like I am a moving arsenal; why would they do that to me? I was surprised by the additional information that appeared on the screen in front of me, so this clearly means that there will be a lot of fights like these in the future since all these weapons are in my possession, and I have to use them also, but how will I be able to do that? I don't have any fighting or weapon training; weren't they supposed to teach and train me first before throwing me into a situation I have knowledge about?. While I was thinking about these things, which were irrelevant to the situation that we were facing, I heard the boy with the rifle introduce himself to the woman and the kids. Even though I was not sure how or exactly when that happened, it reached me that instant. I had a feeling that something was wrong with the way everything was happening. I don't know how to explain it, but what I was feeling was like I was in two
Chapter 10Destiny and the destination Part 1Reading the list I'm from of him didn't take that long, but understanding it was a different matter. It wasn't that it was a language that he couldn't understand; it was actually in clear, understandable English. Then what is the meaning behind it? That was what he couldn't understand at all, as stated from the beginning. Name Azmar, Age: 19, Race: Human, Rank: A Level: 5, Occupation: Vanguard, let's start with the name he knew was his real name; he was given that name since he was unable to remember his real name. That was the only thing he could understand, but the line showed Age 19. That is hard to believe, even though he doesn't remember his real age. There is no way that I will be that young; "I can feel it deep down that I am almost double that age, or at least close to it." That was what he thought. He did actually look young when he looked at himself in a mirror, the one that he was looking at didn't look familiar at all because
Chapter 11Destiny and the destination Part 2I was monitoring the situation around here with interest when she suddenly saw a virtual screen appear in front of me, a familiar scene that I saw a lot of while playing games in front of my brother's computer. The only difference was how realistic it was, it was like it literally appeared in front of me and was printed in the air. The situation we were in was not a normal one, but one more surprising thing happened to me. A virtual screen appeared out of nowhere in front of me with information supposedly prevailing about my status. This is a status screen, something I am well aware of in video games. The games that belonged to my brother that I used to play behind his back since, from my parents point of view, I was too young to play them, though I am not a child, I am 10 years old, huh? Wait, why does it say I am 12 here? Am I mistaken with my own age? I believe my 11th birthday is supposed to be five months later. I read it twice, th
Chapter 39Beginning of the Invasion Part 2B Rohonda appeared to be listening to a report from some type of recorded device when the countdown started; although her attention was directed to what she was listening to, she didn’t miss the quietness of the place with hundreds of people being silent at once. She put the device that she was listening to and collected another one from her desk drawer and started recording a message: “This recording is from Section One; the time is 17.00 hours, and today is the first day that officially Project Zero One started finally. I hope we have enough time to implement all the security measures that we have been working on." Without a second thought, she pressed the send button and returned the device to the same drawer. With a sigh, she rested her back on the chair she was sitting in and said, “I wonder if this was all a perdition or planned, I don’t know what they are thinking, fighting an alien invasion with abducted aliens.” a

"And Ayuma, Please call the head of the council, Mr. Enigma, and tell him to meet me here as soon as possible." At that time she heard a sound similar to thunder, or maybe it was thunder, but usably the lightning and thunder come for the sky with a storm or rain but not in a confide or an open space near the ground; the circle was actually above the ground and was almost two and a half meters above ground. From this distance, nobody was able to guess the size of it, but since it was almost three kilometers outside of the city and was visible that much from that distance, it was obvious that it was huge; everyone was able to see it was palpitating like a heart from that distance. The movement of the muddy cloud inside the circle was so ominous that everyone who was still standing there felt the chill in their bones, and whoever di
Chapter 37Beginning of the Invasion Part 1BEmika’s point of viewThis was the worst nightmare I have been seeing, and I really wished it was just a nightmare, but it was not; it was a reality, a fact in front of my eyes. The thing I was referring to as a portal was forming in the same location I have been seeing it in my dreams, or, to say it correctly, my nightmares. And the reason I am referring to it as a portal is because I knew it was, because I saw it with my own closed eyes at that time, the monsters coming out of it, which indicates that it was a portal of some kind. I have been afraid my dreams would come true, and I didn’t wish for it, but somehow I had the feeling that whatever I saw would happen, but I hoped it would be in a different day and time; a time when I was better prepared for it and was able to take some kind of countermeasure for it.I have no idea what kind of countermeasure I could have been able to take. But anything is better than being taken by surprise

Chapter 36Beginning of the Invasion Part 1AThe girls had a large tent and they were struggling with it, Since Ajbadan said he will help them, he decided to go to the boy Still, he was wondering why didn’t dismantle his tent? Or at least why? if he is not doing anything, why did he help the girls? Aren’t they his companions? At least they have been together more the rest of them, Regardless of their meeting in the forest, as they said, Murad shook his head like he was dropping the questions that filled it and went to the boy. Aden stood up when he saw Murad approaching him and smiled while saying, “It’s embarrassing to say that, seeing you came to help me, but I am actually leaving the tent here that way I didn’t dismantle it.” Murad was not expecting to hear that at all While the surprise was showing on his face, he asked, “Can I ask you why?” Aden didn’t expect to be asked that question either, so he hesitated for a second and said while scratching his head with a small laugh, ”ha
Chapter 35The First EncounterPart 6BGoosebumps ran down his spine when he saw what he saw when he used the skill. He was staring at a black portal that was enormous, over four meters tall and ten meters wide, with a black square shape instead of the typical gateway portals seen on this planet. It was both smokey and liquid-like at the same time, and he was unable to determine what material it was composed of. It was moving like a live entity with a pulsating heart, but it was not changing shape. In a matter of seconds, it gained shape and materialized in front of him at the location the youngster had indicated. He felt a terrible sensation throughout his body. This is what the young man was talking about. He told himself, "So it's all true then," confirming the first thing the boys had mentioned. "The time was the next thing he confirmed, and it was true too." He had the chance to glance at the clock now that it was getting to be the time of sunset, but he didn't think of it. He fe
Chapter 34The First EncounterPart 6A“If you don’t believe me, use your Predict skill, and you will see it.” That was it. I had to let him go and step back a couple steps. He knows two of my skills not just one but two. That is ridiculous. I have been shocked. In a manner I never had before, if it were anybody else in front of me telling me that, the first reaction that would accrue to me would have been to cut his head immediately, without even getting the opportunity to get questioned about where he got the information. But fortunately or unfortunately, the one who said that was a child, although the expression on my face changed and my hand was on the gun and the sword in my waist, a complete involuntary reaction from my side.It took me nearly a minute to gather myself and regain my composure. During this time, I came to the realization that someone else must have informed him about my skills. Therefore, I felt compelled to find out who that person was. At that moment, the only
Chapter 33The First EncounterPart 5B“We need to move from here; the monsters are coming; he is coming, he is coming; and we are all going to be dead." That was the only word that came out of his mouth, and then all he did was stare at the man standing beside him, although his body was shaking, like somebody who is scared or feeling cold, but his eyes were totally blank, like a blind guy who is just looking but not seeing anything. From the blank way he was looking at him, the emperor noticed that the boy was looking at something else, and most probably he also got, “The lost art.” As one of the few humans on this planet who has knowledge of “the lost art” and has learned a few of its skills, he can tell that this boy has it. This is his first encounter with not one but two unexpected individuals in an expected situation with unexpected knowledge. While Juian was talking to the emperor, the skill foresight was activated, and he was not actually looking at or talking to the emperor,
Chapter 32Intermission Jack’s side story Part 1Anther's note:This is Jack’s story recap as I told it in the first volume, but I will now add the missing parts that were not known to anyone in the first volume or the second volume until now, or what was his connection to the storey line? So far, all we knew in the first volume was that he was looking for his wife, and that was all he was looking for. Where was he imprisoned? What for? There were a lot of questions that no one asked and nobody answered, and no one will unless someone dares ask the correct question. Also, I edited the previous chapter, its not just a copy of the same chapter of the first volume to go along with the current retelling of the story without changing much from the original story as a recap because of the importance of the story line. I remember one reader asking me if I was just filling in the characters for the sake of my book, and he was specifically talking about Jack :) I hope now he got the answer.
