The beginning of The Adventure

Adline was running as fast as she could, she had never run in her life simply because there was no reason to, she didn't think that she could because her stamina was always low because of malnutrition, even normal walking for a distance was hard on her, and now that she is running, if anyone was able to measure her speed, it was 100 times faster than any human could do it; she didn't even notice that, how could she? She was running for her life, the worst thing was that she didn't even know why she was running or from what she was running.

After she went through the gate she has no idea what happened after that. The next thing she knew was the voice that woke her up and told her to run, and as an obedient child, she obeyed and started to run, and the fear she felt contributed to that as well, a fear she had never experienced like this before in her life. She didn't notice also that she was running in a forest. After about 5 minutes of nonstop running, she heard the same voice again, "You can stop now, the danger has passed." That was all, so she stopped, and took a breath, she was not sweating or tired, and even her breathing was steady, like she just had a normal stroll on the road. After a few minutes of standing in the same place she had stopped running, she noticed for the first time where she was.

She noticed that she was in a forest, then started looking around her, nothing she saw was familiar to her. Suddenly, she realized she had heard a voice but no one was around her, the voice seemed to be coming near her ears, so whoever that was must have been close to her, but where she started to feel packed once more at that time, something appeared in front of her suddenly, without hesitating, she took a couple steps back and she fell on the ground, what appeared in front of her was a screen, while she was on the ground, still the screen was still in front of her, and then a writing appeared on the screen.

She blinked a couple times, and her mouth was wide open from the surprise. She didn't expect to see this screen in front of her personally, this was very familiar to her because she has been seeing the same screen in her terminal for the past few weeks. So why is it in front of her now? What has this got to do with her mission? She noticed that the mission information was in her new communicator, but she didn't have a chance to read it yesterday, it totally slipped her mind to do so. Hastily, she looked at her communicator and touched the main menu, then she saw an option that was not available on her previous communicator.

After tapping the menu button twice, a new screen similar to the one she was just looking at appeared with full details of the menu. She scrolled down the screen, touching the transparent screen the way she would have with a normal screen.

After a few minutes of reading the discretion of the mission, which actually appeared to be as simple as the supervisor told her, except for a few mysterious sentences, she couldn’t understand its meaning. The first one was something about survival, she read it once more to be sure she understood it.

You have to survive the duration of the mission for it to be completed, the skills you have been given will contribute to your survival. Use it well. That was one thing she couldn't understand what they meant by it, there no explanation for what to survive or how? Is it dangerous, like the thing that was chasing her a few minutes ago? By the way, what was that? Where did it go? Finally, what are the skills they mention here? Is it the same thing on the other screen? Instead of making things easier for her, she was getting more questions than answers.

She lamented the situation for a few moments, and since she couldn’t figure anything out anything by sitting on the ground in this scary forest, she decided to move and see how things went from there on. The screen with her information was still in front of her, and suddenly she remembered the gesture the young man she was monitoring used to do to close this screen. Imitating the same, she closed the screen, and still standing at the same place, she said aloud, "Then what now?" She was not expecting any answers, but to her surprise, she heard the same female voice she had heard previously say, "Your target location is 350 meeter's ahead of you, you will get further instructions when you reach there."

That was shocking to hear a voice with instructions inside her head, and it was relieving at the same time to get instructions that will help her accomplish her mission. It's better than doing things blindly without knowing what to do. It didn't take her more than a few minutes to reach a clearing with a few boulders scattered around. As soon as she stepped out of the woods, she saw behind one of those boulders a woman who was holding two children, and in front of them was a young boy with a rifle in his hand. At that same moment, with high speed, the boy turned behind him, and without a hesitation, he shot his rifle.
