Prologue
It was a really nice and wonderful journey this past year, and it's hard for me to believe that I completed the first volume of my book ""Wake Up And Run"" all thanks to my wonderful readers, among them family and friends, without their support and encouragement, I wouldn't have been able to finish or even continue writing this book, and it wouldn't have seen the light.I started writing this book in 2014, and I stopped writing after writing only nine chapters. At that time, I was not aware of online publishing or the concept of sterilization or web novels, although the way I envisioned it at that time was really the same concept, now we are starting to go together through the second volume. As I mentioned before, the first volume was the introduction of the story, and it was missing the thrill and the fast pace, at least that is what I have been told, so I will be working on that in this volume, which is the beginning of the story and the adventure. Being an amateur writer caused me to make another mistake, which was that there were too many characters whose stories needed to be told, but everyone learns from their mistakes, and I learned that the hard way.I will do my best to satisfy your tastes and present to you a one-of-a-kind story, if you can endure me for a little bit longer. I admit being an amateur writer, and this is my first work without any help with editing, spelling check, or grammar check, so it will be full of such mistakes. So here I am counting on your comments and reviews, so please don't hesitate to speak your mind by reviewing and commenting on whatever you see that needs correction. Finally, I hope you enjoy reading this story. My plan is for it to be a minimum of five volumes, each of which contains a minimum of fifty chapters. I can't promise long chapters, but I will try to do my best, and I will make it more exciting by adding more fight scenes. That is what I can promise, so keep on reminding and pushing me as you used to do with previous chapters.I gave the title "Run for Your Life" for this volume; please send me your ideas and comments on that as well.Yours truly.Abdirizack Sarman.Volume 2 Chapter 1The First Destination Part 1 Nothing makes sense, this is not making any sense, four men were surrounding me, one in front of me, one behind me, and two on each side, with all of them directing their swords toward me, actually toward my head, between my head and the swords, only a few inches, with the slightest movement from them, and it will penetrate my skin. That is not it, the thing that do not make any sense are their speed, the speed at which they approached me, and the fact that they raised their weapon so slowly. I was shocked at the beginning. In fact, I was scared, but this I could dodge with ease. So I did bend down at the same time. lifting my swords up and parrying the one facing me with my right hand and the one behind me with my left hand. At the same time, to clear a space for me, I kicked the one on my right side with my right leg, while supporting myself with his body and using him as a foothold, and I turned in the air, reaching the other one on
Chapter 2The First Destination Part 2I didn't hesitate to approach the woman holding the two crying children, wishing if I had some candy on me so I could give it to the children to stop their craving. Actually, I had some sweets in my bag, but I left it in the vehicle; at least, I would have taken my bag if I knew that I would be lost in a forest. At that moment, I remembered that I was carrying a backpack that I hadn't checked most of its content in so far, but there was a bottle of water. I took the water out and approached the woman, extending the bottle to her. The woman didn't hesitate either and took water from me without saying anything, just nodding with her head, sipping a few mouthfuls, and then giving it to the children one by one. The young boy was glancing at us, still focused on the rifle and binoculars, ready to shoot anything that moved in front of him. When they had enough water, the woman passed the water bottle to me and said, "Thanks." I took it and tried to pa
At The First Destination Chapter 1 Part 3Strangely, Amran came back to where we were along with the new girl, and she was still holding the two short swords but now with both of them in one hand. I took that as a chance and introduced myself, "Hello, my name is Aden." Then I pointed at the girls behind me and said, "Ladies, introduce yourselves, please." I was only able to introduce two of them since we claimed the third girl was with us and I don't know her, I wasn't able to introduce just the two of them and leave the third. I myself was curious to know the new girl's name, but about her story, I left that for a later time, since the situation was not favorable at the moment. After the two girls introduced themselves, the third one also did the same and said, "Hello, my name is Adline." Then we looked at the boy, and I don't know why, but he sighed before he answered and said, "Nice meeting you all, my name is Luke, this is my sister-in-law." He paused for a second and continued wi
I was listening to what Ajbadan was telling us and was wondering at the same time how I reached the same conclusion even before he reported to us, how was my estimate that correct with having all the facts, strange as they may be, that was happening at the moment, so I had to naturally complete his last sentence for him, saying "In that case the option for us is to wait it out, until everything becomes clear, it's not in our best interest to intervene in a situation we don't know anything about it." When I finished saying that, I noticed that everyone was looking at me with a surprise on their faces.Even I was surprised at how easily and naturally I said what I said, I didn't even think about what I was saying, it just came to mind and I said it without thinking about it at all. Everyone kept looking at me for a few seconds, then Ajbadan was the first one to recover from the surprise and say, "That was exactly what I was about to suggest; good work, Amran." I didn't have anything to
The Chosen One's Part 1 Chapter 5This time it was not as surprising as the first time, and there was no change in the information; it was the same as the first time, except now he was able to read it slowly and try to understand the meaning of what he saw in front of him. Now, though the last line was different, the information was as follows:Nam: Julian Age: 14Race: HumanRank: apprentice Status: healthySkills: Detection - ForesightGifts: Sight-Night VisionsGrade: 1 Phase: 1Points: 1Inventory: (four items)Remarks: Temp Mission: Survive Duration: 24 hours and 54 minutes.Reward: 200 credits. That means since he came to this forest, it's been only six minutes only, though it looked like more than half an hour for him. Thinking to himself, he said, "At least some time has passed, and all I am required to do is survive." The question is, will he be able to do just that? It's not just, "Just survive." How is it that simple? He knew from
Chapter 6The Chosen Ones Part 2Something is really wrong here, Julian wondered. Reading the list a few times, he noticed one other thing: the time really didn't decrease as he thought the first time but increased. Although it was something he didn't notice the first time and was not sure if the last time he saw it was 23 hours or 24 hours, but it was obvious that it had increased now instead of decreasing.Anyway, that is a different issue that he can solve at the moment; the urgent thing is to navigate the situation that he is facing now. The question is who to go straight to, wherever the destination that he supposedly reached was, and there is a fight going on in front of him, it is not like he can say, "Excuse me, can you please stop fighting until I pass?" He had no prior experience in situations like this or any other situations to being with.Standing in his place, he first looked at the man, who was standing alone and watching the fight like him. The man noticed when he appr
Author's Note"" Dear readers, greetings first of all, and second, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience with me. I appreciate taking from your precious time to read my book, It's for your sake that I continue to write. Seeing the number of readers increase makes me really happy and encourages me to continue writing. My wish is, as usual, that you don't hesitate to comment and review. I don't want only good words; I strive to improve myself and my writing skills, and your constructive criticism and feedback, I believe, will make me better, so please add this book to your library and feed me back with your suggestions.Chapter 7The Chosen Ones Part 3 The information that appeared in front of him was something that he could not comprehend it at all. Being ignorant of life and what is going on around him didn't mean that he couldn't recognize that it was an impossible situation that he is facing at the moment. Yes, impossible. How could he encounter a situ
Chapter 8The Chosen Ones Part 4So he repeated his question once more, although I think maybe it was more than once: "Do you have any weapons?" What kind of question is that? Without even thinking much about it, without me doing it intentionally, I nodded with my head and said, "Yes, I do have some weapons." Suddenly, the screen popped in front of me again, and this time, the inventory was unlocked without me doing anything.- Unlocked inventory- Weapons available: 3 sets1. Two long swords, grade A 2. Two long daggers, grade A3. Two laser guns, one short-range and one long range.Tap into the desired weapon; it will materialize and be ready for your use.Was it natural for it to happen that way? I have no idea, really. When I saw the two other girls coming towards us, Amran was the other new young girl, and both of them had weapons in their hands. I was wondering who this young girl was, but before I asked anything, Aden spoke and asked us to introduce ourselves. Apparently, he c
Chapter 39Beginning of the Invasion Part 2B Rohonda appeared to be listening to a report from some type of recorded device when the countdown started; although her attention was directed to what she was listening to, she didn’t miss the quietness of the place with hundreds of people being silent at once. She put the device that she was listening to and collected another one from her desk drawer and started recording a message: “This recording is from Section One; the time is 17.00 hours, and today is the first day that officially Project Zero One started finally. I hope we have enough time to implement all the security measures that we have been working on." Without a second thought, she pressed the send button and returned the device to the same drawer. With a sigh, she rested her back on the chair she was sitting in and said, “I wonder if this was all a perdition or planned, I don’t know what they are thinking, fighting an alien invasion with abducted aliens.” a

"And Ayuma, Please call the head of the council, Mr. Enigma, and tell him to meet me here as soon as possible." At that time she heard a sound similar to thunder, or maybe it was thunder, but usably the lightning and thunder come for the sky with a storm or rain but not in a confide or an open space near the ground; the circle was actually above the ground and was almost two and a half meters above ground. From this distance, nobody was able to guess the size of it, but since it was almost three kilometers outside of the city and was visible that much from that distance, it was obvious that it was huge; everyone was able to see it was palpitating like a heart from that distance. The movement of the muddy cloud inside the circle was so ominous that everyone who was still standing there felt the chill in their bones, and whoever di
Chapter 37Beginning of the Invasion Part 1BEmika’s point of viewThis was the worst nightmare I have been seeing, and I really wished it was just a nightmare, but it was not; it was a reality, a fact in front of my eyes. The thing I was referring to as a portal was forming in the same location I have been seeing it in my dreams, or, to say it correctly, my nightmares. And the reason I am referring to it as a portal is because I knew it was, because I saw it with my own closed eyes at that time, the monsters coming out of it, which indicates that it was a portal of some kind. I have been afraid my dreams would come true, and I didn’t wish for it, but somehow I had the feeling that whatever I saw would happen, but I hoped it would be in a different day and time; a time when I was better prepared for it and was able to take some kind of countermeasure for it.I have no idea what kind of countermeasure I could have been able to take. But anything is better than being taken by surprise

Chapter 36Beginning of the Invasion Part 1AThe girls had a large tent and they were struggling with it, Since Ajbadan said he will help them, he decided to go to the boy Still, he was wondering why didn’t dismantle his tent? Or at least why? if he is not doing anything, why did he help the girls? Aren’t they his companions? At least they have been together more the rest of them, Regardless of their meeting in the forest, as they said, Murad shook his head like he was dropping the questions that filled it and went to the boy. Aden stood up when he saw Murad approaching him and smiled while saying, “It’s embarrassing to say that, seeing you came to help me, but I am actually leaving the tent here that way I didn’t dismantle it.” Murad was not expecting to hear that at all While the surprise was showing on his face, he asked, “Can I ask you why?” Aden didn’t expect to be asked that question either, so he hesitated for a second and said while scratching his head with a small laugh, ”ha
Chapter 35The First EncounterPart 6BGoosebumps ran down his spine when he saw what he saw when he used the skill. He was staring at a black portal that was enormous, over four meters tall and ten meters wide, with a black square shape instead of the typical gateway portals seen on this planet. It was both smokey and liquid-like at the same time, and he was unable to determine what material it was composed of. It was moving like a live entity with a pulsating heart, but it was not changing shape. In a matter of seconds, it gained shape and materialized in front of him at the location the youngster had indicated. He felt a terrible sensation throughout his body. This is what the young man was talking about. He told himself, "So it's all true then," confirming the first thing the boys had mentioned. "The time was the next thing he confirmed, and it was true too." He had the chance to glance at the clock now that it was getting to be the time of sunset, but he didn't think of it. He fe
Chapter 34The First EncounterPart 6A“If you don’t believe me, use your Predict skill, and you will see it.” That was it. I had to let him go and step back a couple steps. He knows two of my skills not just one but two. That is ridiculous. I have been shocked. In a manner I never had before, if it were anybody else in front of me telling me that, the first reaction that would accrue to me would have been to cut his head immediately, without even getting the opportunity to get questioned about where he got the information. But fortunately or unfortunately, the one who said that was a child, although the expression on my face changed and my hand was on the gun and the sword in my waist, a complete involuntary reaction from my side.It took me nearly a minute to gather myself and regain my composure. During this time, I came to the realization that someone else must have informed him about my skills. Therefore, I felt compelled to find out who that person was. At that moment, the only
Chapter 33The First EncounterPart 5B“We need to move from here; the monsters are coming; he is coming, he is coming; and we are all going to be dead." That was the only word that came out of his mouth, and then all he did was stare at the man standing beside him, although his body was shaking, like somebody who is scared or feeling cold, but his eyes were totally blank, like a blind guy who is just looking but not seeing anything. From the blank way he was looking at him, the emperor noticed that the boy was looking at something else, and most probably he also got, “The lost art.” As one of the few humans on this planet who has knowledge of “the lost art” and has learned a few of its skills, he can tell that this boy has it. This is his first encounter with not one but two unexpected individuals in an expected situation with unexpected knowledge. While Juian was talking to the emperor, the skill foresight was activated, and he was not actually looking at or talking to the emperor,
Chapter 32Intermission Jack’s side story Part 1Anther's note:This is Jack’s story recap as I told it in the first volume, but I will now add the missing parts that were not known to anyone in the first volume or the second volume until now, or what was his connection to the storey line? So far, all we knew in the first volume was that he was looking for his wife, and that was all he was looking for. Where was he imprisoned? What for? There were a lot of questions that no one asked and nobody answered, and no one will unless someone dares ask the correct question. Also, I edited the previous chapter, its not just a copy of the same chapter of the first volume to go along with the current retelling of the story without changing much from the original story as a recap because of the importance of the story line. I remember one reader asking me if I was just filling in the characters for the sake of my book, and he was specifically talking about Jack :) I hope now he got the answer.
