Revenge

Axel stretched his body as he exited the car taking him back to the base. Keeping watch at the southern gate was hard; although they could sleep there, their beds were not as comfortable as at the headquarters. The food there was also quite limited as they had to be on guard in case of a bad situation.

For a few hours, he rode in the car. Finally, he quickly got off as he stretched and looked around. This place was just like any other place he had seen, full of busy people and people training.

"You just got back from standing guard, but look like you've been tortured." Emma mocked her as they passed each other; she chuckled in response but was too lazy to stop her footsteps.

"I'm sure you'll be the same as me; what can an old woman like you do?" Axel pressed the nape of his neck; he walked inside the base to immediately rest in his room.
