Eight

Episode 8

Sandra rushed to the hospital reception as soon as she got to the hospital venue. She had been called by Cassie, one of Chloe's friends about the current situation with Chloe. She tapped on the reception desk impatiently while waiting for the receptionist to be done with whatever call she was making.

"How may I help you, ma'am?" The receptionist had asked once she dropped the phone, finally attending to her.

"My daughter, she was rushed here a few minutes ago" she was saying when she heard her name.

"Aunt Sandra" Someone had called her, she turned to the direction where she heard her name.

"Sean!" She called.

"Chloe! Where is she?" She asked worriedly, walking up to him.

"Let me take you there, she just woke up and I was about to call you again to tell you about the latest development, but she is sleeping now"

"Well take me to her now!" she ordered and trailed behind him to the ward where she is been attended to.

Zoe's pov

I stood at the pitch-black door that leads to where her soul is. I need to get her out of there before something bad happens. Anetta keeps getting stronger and stronger each passing day, and there is her, who doesn't even know about her abilities yet. I can't let her have her, she might kill her even though she is in prison.

I stare at the door, it's her vision door more like she is in a dream, A very bad dream that is why the door is dark and appears endless, I can't go into someone's dream nor interrupt it if I ever try such I might end up being burn out of the energy I used or die.

I breathe out then close my eyes. I have to do this, if it is not for anybody but Sean, I need to reunite with my family again, if I can and get my final rest.

I suddenly opened my eyes with my hand in a cup-shaped out as if taking water with my hand, I watched as the glowing light danced on my hand, so small it won't even budge anything.

 "Oh ye mother of light, grant me the honor of saving thy child, grant me the power of old," I Said before muttering the chant.  I waved my hand as if I was cleaning the board, while the surroundings changed, it reek of pure light. A snowflake orb shape dropped at my hand, and my eyes glowed at it making it dance I formed my lips in an 'O' shape taking in all the energy I could grasp, I'm running out of breath, but the longer I take in the energy, the bigger the burning light, with all the energy in me, I shoot my hand forward to the dark door that serves as a portal to her dreamland.

"It went through!" I gasped in excitement.

"oh! oh! it's closing back" I thought, I didn't even think twice before I jumped through the portal making it stand still, and stop closing.

I sight Chloe lying almost lifelessly on the floor with beads of sweat dripping from her forehead while gasping for air, I glance around to see what she was looking at, it's no other person than Anetta, She seems so strong and fiercely powerful, but that's an illusion, those betrayers think they can scare us away with this unrealistic illusion?

I smirk, well Chloe fell for it though, who wouldn't?

I did what I did earlier grabbing all the energy I could get and tried closing the link that grants Anetta access to her dream.

Damn! she is so strong, how did she get this, strong, I don't think I will be able to pull this off.

After so much groaning and grunting a blast of light rolled like a ball, and splashed all over The supposed Anetta body, making it freeze.

I fell, then gently touched her, "you will be fine" I had said.

I dragged her up, supporting her with my body. I'm weak too, but I have to get her out before the portal closes or we are going to be locked in here forever, 'Might' tho.

The portal has started closing so I had to speed walk even though it seems like I'm barely limping. I finally walked through it, thank goodness I gasped after we successfully walked through it and I watched as the portal slowly faded and then disappeared into thin light.

Cassie's pov...

I stared at the drawing Chloe had sketched and smirked, "it's here!" I muttered. I looked at it closely and searched for any tiny details or leads before handing it back to her 

"You guys should check out Chloe's drawing," Sarah said, walking up to them.

 They had gathered in front of her ward, Sean was explaining the reason why they can't go in to meet her for Sandra when Sarah interrupted.

Brian hijacked the book from her.

"Oh my, I've been looking for it, she is so talented" Brian gasped while I and Sarah rolled their eyes at the same time

"Look at this art bro, even with a pen it's so detailed," he said showing it to Sean, who isn't so engrossed to it unlike Brian.

"But why will she faint after drawing these great masterpieces?" He asked, finally looking up from the book.

"That's what you should be asking instead of gushing over the Art" Sean said, taking the book from him.

"It's nice but weird, I mean she could have just drawn the five of us but instead, this and then fainted after it," Sean said looking closely at the sketch.

"Come on the doctor said she fainted because of stress" Brian said while the ladies almost hissed out loud at them

"Oh really, stress?" Sean asked about getting pissed off of Brian's Naivety, I can't blame him though.

"Let me have a look,", Sandra said for the first time since Sarah got there, walking away from the ward door to take the book away from them

"Here it is," Sean said, handing it to her.

Her face twitched to confusion staring at the drawing in front of her, she knew better than this is another revelation, or is it? It doesn't look like the normal one she sees, I mean she has seen her draw some stuff in her journal but none seems so scary and weird as this.

The drawing is of a woman dressed like a scarlet witch with a half-mask covering her side face from her ear to her nose bridge with a boy that stood before her, but it was only the boy's back she drew. They are surrounded by woods, she stared at it deeply, the surrounding, then the mountain landscape, she knows this place!.

Cassie excused herself to use the restroom, after some while Sarah followed suit

"I know you will come," Cassie said drying her hand with the hand dryer

"I saw you rolled your eyes at Brian" she begins

"And I saw you do the same, and you know what I think, I think we are the same, our mission is the same" Cassie said resting her back on the wall

"So what do you think? Do you think she is the one?" Cassie asked 

"I" she paused as if having a rethink. "I'm not telling you cos I don't trust you just yet," Sarah answered.
