Anti-Toxin

The young vampire sat in a dark corner in Jorish's living room and was sobbing because she was so terrified by what was happening to her. She didn't want to believe that she was now a soulless blood-sucking monster but all the clues were pointing out that she was but she didn't want to accept it.

The sound of her weeping started annoying Jorish who couldn't focus on the book she was reading. She started to rethink letting the girl out of the dungeon and played with the idea of putting her back but, for some reason she couldn't quite put her finger on, Jorish decided to converse with her instead. She closed her book and spun her chair around to face the vampire.

"You've been making that sound for almost twenty minutes now. Are you even shedding any tears?" Jorish asked her.

"I don't know why nothing's coming out," She said and rubbed her face but there were no tears even though she was really crying.

"Yeah, that's because vampires can't produce tears," Jorish said.

"I'm not a vampire,"
