Impasse

Jill sat in the middle of the back room with a bowl of chocolate ice-cream in her hands and her cheeks were red because of all the sobbing she'd been doing. She was not doing great at all and her brother was very worried about her because he had never seen her like this before. He could tell that what happened meant a lot to her because she didn't cry this much even when their parents died so the fact that she was crying so hard about this showed how much what happened affected her and she just didn't know how to properly deal with it.

"Jill," Jack said as he came down the stairs, "Are you alright down there?"

She remained silent and stuffed her face some more with a spoonful of ice-cream.

"It's been hours since we got back and you've just been sitting there sulking. Why don't you at least take a bath and eat some real food?" Jack said and walked over to her but she just kept eating.
