Dr. Thomas occasionally enlarges his eyeball when Bradley describes the physical appearance of the creature that attacks him.
"Hey kid, I can't help you at all," he said quickly. "You should find another doctor." He hand-picked up the fallen can and sipped at the rest of the drink.
"But Madam Nigeria said you can help me heal this wound," said Bradley trying to convince the doctor. "I believe you can help me." Bradley's face showed a sad expression. “I don’t know what supposed to do right now.” His hands trembling followed by sobs.
" I’m sorry kid. I can't help you." Dr. Thomas turns his face and stares at the television screen.
His hopes slowly shatter and he walks away, leaving the man without even looking back. Suddenly Bradley feels a very painful pain and he stops for a moment. It feels like several knives are stuck in his leg, making him immediately fall and groaned. His legs felt numb, his body starts to shiver, and cold sweat flows non-stop.
"Hey, kid what's wrong?" Dr, Thomas sees him and ran to Bradley.
Bradley doesn’t reply to Dr. Thomas and his head starts dizzy. The pain is unimaginable and makes him groan more. A few minutes later, his vision begins to blur. Dr. Thomas tries to regain Bradley’s consciousness, however, he doesn't respond. Not long after, he faints.

Bradley opens his eyes and the first thing he sees is the light brown ceiling of the room. A few minutes later, an unpleasant odor smelled.
"Where am I?" Bradley looked around and see Dr. Thomas preparing something. "Gosh, what's is that?" he immediately covers his nose.
"Hey kid, it's a good thing you're awake now," said Dr. Thomas hearing Bradley's voice. "You are now in my house," he continued, grinding something with the mortar he is holding. "I'll make a potion, calm down."
"What is happening?" asked Bradley curiously while covering his nose. "I feel something strange since that strange creature attacked me," he said while holding his head. "Oh yeah, my name is Bradley, nice to meet you."
"Bradley, I have something to tell you." Dr. Thomas walks closer to is carrying a cup filled with some kind of green to purple liquid and the other hand a bottle of liquor.
Bradley furrows his brows and sees the color of the liquid. It is very strange and gives off an unpleasant odor.
"I'll put this medicine on your wound," said Dr. Thomas smearing the liquid on Bradley's scar. “But you must remember this thing cannot cure this disease. It only reduces and slows down the effect.” He takes a sip of a drink which is the same color as his hair.
A few minutes later the pain slowly disappeared, and Bradley widens his eyes. He doesn’t expect the liquid is very helpful to reduce his pain. He is curious about what kind of creature has attacked him.
“I believe you have been cursed by one of Mirland's creatures,” said Dr. Thomas to him. “I think this comes from a creature called the Night catcher.”
"Night catchers?"
Dr. Thomas explained that the night catcher is one of the creatures that often targets human life, especially young people like Bradley. It’s because night catcher lives by eating human feelings. Night catcher will attack their victims through the subconscious because humans will be weak when in a dream.
"Wait a minute, so all this time I have these strange dreams because of that creature?"
"Yeah, we can say like that." Dr. Thomas nods quickly. “There are several phases that will happen if someone gets cursed and the worst the victim will lose self-control.
“Jeez, so you mean people will go crazy?” Bradley furrows his brows. "Damn! Why is this creature able to roam in this world? "
"It's still a mystery, until now. I also do not know why this creature can exist in this world.”
Dr. Thomas explained this wound only cure if he finds a mysterious plant from one place called Mirror land/ Mirland and only people from Mirland know how to get there.
“Dr. Thomas, you must be joking right?” Bradley thinks that Dr. Thomas is telling a joke. “There is no place like that.” He rolls his eyes.
Dr. Thomas sighed. “That place simply cannot be found in this world. It’s impossible to find.”
He is speechless hearing Dr. Thomas’s explanation. He feels all words from Dr. Thomas are beyond his logic and do not make sense. Dr. Thomas also said Bradley’s phase is going through seemed to be the initial phase, so taking this medicine is still having an effect.
"Ok, I think it's best if you give Nigera the information about the night catcher as soon as possible," said Dr. Thomas sipping his drink.
"Wait, Madam Nigera knows about this?" Bradley is shocked to hear it.
Dr. Thomas nodded slowly. He explained that Madam Nigera is indeed one of the Mirland’s inhabitants. However, there are rules that every Mirland’s people must obey. They must not show their true identity.
"Bradley, you should go back to your place now," said Dr. Thomas walking over and looking out the window. “The sky seems to be getting dark soon. That creature will move at night,” he said staring out the window.
"Yeah, I think so. Thank you, Dr. Thomas. I appreciate all of it.” He moves his body from the sofa.
"Bradley, if we meet later someday, just call Thomas," he said waving his hand. “Just be careful, next time.” His eyes still staring out his window while continue to sip his liquor.
Bradley walks away from Dr, Thomas to the door. However, his body stops when he sees a photo on a small table not far from Dr. Thomas’s position. He walks closer to see more clearly. He sees Dr. Thomas with a woman with straight black hair and a boy with black hair. They look very happy.
“I'm sure this must be his wife and child. I wanted to ask more.” Bradley takes the photo from the table and walks closer to Dr. Thomas.
However, he stops his move when looks at Dr. Thomas gaze looks blank and he also lowers his sturdy shoulder.
“I don't think this is the right time.” Bradley put back the photo and walks away.
The color sky looks darker than before. The cold air managed to penetrate Bradley’s clothes His body starts to feel cold, but he keeps walking. After a few minutes of walking, rain begins to fall from the sky. Bradley runs away and looking a place to take shelter.
"At least I can stay here for a while." He rubs his palms together. "Argh! This cold air is making me sick.”
He is looking around and no one sees this place, gusts of the wind and the sound of rain are audible. A few minutes later a strange voice is heard, but he tries to ignore the voice and starts mumbling.
"Geez, why is the raining take so long?" Bradley grumbles and scratches his head. "I hope Madam Theresa will not scold me."
All of a sudden the strange voice sounded again and this time much louder than before. Bradley slowly turns his head. His curiosity drives him to move from his position and look for the source of the sound.
"The sound is not far from my position." Bradley re-plugged his ear to make sure the source of the sound. The sound is heard again, making Bradley snap his fingers immediately. "Yeah, now I'm pretty where the source comes from.”

Bradley walks towards the bushes not far from his current position and his heartbeat skips a beat every time he walks closer to the sound. His hand slowly touched the surface of the bush, however, pair of eyes stare at him in the bush. "Good grief!" Bradley steps back, his face instantly pale with cold sweat immediately rolling down his curves. Something moves to him and it gets closer and closer. His body is instantly frozen and refuses to move. "What is that?" His eyes try to find anything for protection, yet he doesn’t find anything. A few minutes later it finally reveals its forms and turns out just a cat. "Damn cat!" he said with a sigh and wipes his sweat. “I almost get a heart attack.” Not long after, the rain slowly subsided. Bradley reached out his hand and made sure the rain stopped. "Okay, now it's safe. I better get home before it rains again.” Bradley quickened his footsteps and leave the cat alone. But after a few steps, he stops in his tracks. His eyes look back
He’s speechless for a moment looking at a black silhouette standing in the dark without moving at all. He starts slowly walking backward but weirdly the silhouette is moving near to him.“Damn! I cannot see that thing.”He looked around and realize the silhouette near under the street lamp. He tries to lure it to move toward the streetlight so that he could see the figure fully and it worked.“Ah, it’s just a little cat.” He breathes calmly and starts laughing. “I almost think that is something else.”He walks closer to the cat and his hand touch the cat’s ears. It feels so soft and fluffy. He tries to pick up the cat and take it away, but suddenly something pulls the cat back into the darkness and it disappeared instantly.“What… What is happening?”His body is frozen, his legs feel so stiff, and his face is still tense as the events unfolded so quickly in front of him. He doesn’t know what to do now. The lamp street starts to dim and all of a sudden he hears a cat’s scream.“I must
He keeps on reading the rest of the passage, but sadly it has been destroyed by termites. Bradley puts the paper down on the floor and walks to his bed."It just all goes to waste my time. I didn't get anything at all," Bradley grumbled. "Ah, I hope trusting Madam Nigera's word is the right decision."His eyes continued to stare at the ceiling of the room which already partially crumbling, revealing the inner structure of the room. He sighed again. A quiet atmosphere over the place as her eyes slowly closed and he finally fell asleep. The sound of someone knocking on the door rings in his ears. It wakes him up from his sleep and he tries to cover both ears, but it feels like the knocking keeps ringing until it makes him furious. However, he suddenly realized something. He did not dream about that horrible thing yesterday at all. It feels like he's getting a gift from someone and today seems to be much better than before."The remedy seems to be working. I don't have any nightmares at
Bradley continuously looks out the window, watching the city he lived in slowly slipping out of sight. Bradley still cannot believe that he will be going far away from his hometown. "Once we pass through this gate, we'll be outside in the city." Madam Nigera speaks out while strumming her guitar. "Madam, how long will this trip take?" Caden raised his hand making him instantly the center of attention. "According to the driver, it will take about almost half a day and that's if it doesn't rain or get stuck in traffic." "Half a day?" Caden's eyeballs widened at that remark. "Yeah, but we'll stop by a few times if someone needs to use the restroom. " All the children nodded at the explanation. Madam Nigera sits back in her seat next to Madam Theresa who has been sleeping the entire time the bus has been moving. The atmosphere instantly becomes quiet, and Caden cranes his neck to look around. Some of the orphanage children fall asleep until Caden lays down his body. "Brad, please w
Suddenly a woman in a white uniform walks toward Madam Isabella. She informs us about the room has been prepared and directs the group to the room, while Isabella will wait in the dining room. Along the hallway leading to the room, there are many photographs of the history of this place. Some relics that looked very costly also lined up neatly as they walked. "Okay, this is the room." The woman turns the doorknob and steps inside. A room twice bigger than in the orphanage right in front of him. Several double bunk beds arrange there with a large window next to the beds and a door connecting a room with two beds. "Please manage your luggage. I'll be waiting in the lobby," the woman closed the door and walks away. "Nigera, I'll go down first." Madam Theresa placed her bag in the room and quickens her pace out of the room. "You take care of all these children." "Yes, Madam," she nods her head. Madam Nigera, Bradley, and Caden direct all the children put down their bags and arrange t
Caden pats Bradley on the head and says he's probably just delusional. They walk back until arriving at the door of the resort. "We're finally here." Bradley wipes his sweat. "It sure takes a lot of energy," he said with a chuckle. "Yeah, I can feel my leg muscles tightening up too." Caden sits on one of the front seats at the entrance of the resort and puts his legs on the ground." Ah, at least now I can rest for a while." Markus looks through the glass connecting to the room and finds that the group of children has already returned to the resort. All of them enter the lobby resort and Markus decides back to his room. "See you tomorrow." Markus smiled and dashed straight to his room. "Brad, Markus is a cute boy." Caden smiles watching Markus' behavior. "I wonder, he's such a good kid but why he doesn’t have any friends," he continued flexing his arm muscles. "Yeah Cad, I'm confused too." Bradley shakes his head. "Never mind, let's get into the line before Madam Theresa scolds
A few minutes later, the sound of stamping feet comes from Madam Theresa's room. All the children immediately wake up and prepared to go downstairs to see a woman in a white and black uniform awaiting their arrival. "Mr. Zwalinski is waiting at the training ground," said the brown-haired woman. "I'll take you there." Madam Theresa stops walking and turns around. "Wait, I don't see Nigera at all," she says in a grumbling tone. "Where is she?" A few minutes later, a dark-haired woman walks in from the back door. "Madam, I apologize," she said in her typical soft voice. "I just took wolfy for a walk because he gets bored in his cage." Madam Theresa sighs at having said that and feels guilty for letting Wolfy stay inside the cage. They all finally continued their journey until they reached a large tent. Shortly after, Mr. Zwalinski arrived with a box of drinks. "It's very hot today," he said as he wipes the sweat from his face. "You better drink up before you get dehydrated." Mr.
Bradley tries to catch his breath and acted normally as if nothing happen. However, over time he feels like he's being watched by something. He keeps looking in all directions, but there's no one around. "Damn, this atmosphere is freaking me out." Bradley quickens his pace towards the resort but accidentally bumps into someone as he is about to enter the resort. "Gosh, I'm sorry." Bradley looks up seeing the woman he hits as Madam Nigera. "Brad, what's wrong?" asked Madam Nigera curiously, "You seem to have just seen something." Bradley says he's seen something black passing by during practice and lately he's been feeling like he's being followed by something. "Madam, I feel like the night catcher might be around us." Bradley's eyeballs dilated momentarily and his hands continued to tremble. "Bradley, calm down." Madam Nigera tries to calm Bradley down. "We're not entirely sure what it is, but if it's here, our lives are in danger." "Yes, Madam." "I feel it's best that while
