Chapter 25: Quest For An Informant

Number 2, The Dirty Crowns Gang, formally known as the Golden Crown Gang. Headed by Axel Steven Albion, son of the Albion group leader........”

“What!?” Eugene exclaimed in a massive shock as he couldn’t believe his own ears and turns to face Velma with an intense curiosity.

“Hey, don’t look at me like that. I am as shocked as you are. Anyways, just let me finish up with the readings, so that you will actually understand everything about Abel and his pursuers.” Velma replied with a facial expression which boldly showed that she knew what he was thinking about and then, she continued reading out the file.

“He is of 16 years of age and his gang hailed from Rosetown City. Due to some certain issues, further information is to be kept secret.

Number 1’s gang information is a mine bomb. Highly confidential, even to the moderate executives of the Randie state police department.

#Tip from the congressman: If you need more information, you can always go to the black market *wink *wink. Damn, this bastard is fucking cheap.

Anyways Eugene, what I’m trying to say is, this whole shit I went through was because, Axel and Abel is all about the heir position. Even looking at their names, Abel and Axel, it is too obvious that they both are twins.

It seems more like, people’s opinion on the both of them, majorly comes into conclusion that they prefer Abel to be the heir than the latter.

What can I say, I had to go through all that shit because of some family issues, how ridiculous.”

“Yeah, seeing that Axel is with the Albion group, things just got worse for us too. If we are actually looking at it, Axel seems to have full focus on his brother right now, so, there is no need to panic anyways.” Jixie suggested.

“Yeah but we can’t be all that relaxed and dropping our guards. After all, we don’t know how things might turn out to be.” Eugene warns.

“So what do we really do now?” Velma asks.

“What else, find a way to have a trustworthy informant in the underworld. Seems more like we have to get our hands dirty if we have to do this. Another problem is that Eugene would have already attracted attention to himself after the brawl had gave out his returning scheme.” Jixie answers.

“I actually know someone who will get us through the dirty spots and have an informant but most especially, I could encounter enemies, so it seems like we will be going back into building a whole new gang.” Eugene suggests.

“If that would really be easy. Our school is filled with weaklings, so how else are we going to cope with that?” Velma asks.

“I can’t forget how my past comrades feel about me now. Young is dead because of me, Stacy lost her sister because of me, Sung Jin Wu’s whereabouts is still unknown and Natsumi already has her own gang to run. I really do feel like a piece of shit and deserve every punishment they wish to launch out at  and even after that, not to see their faces anymore.” Said Eugene with a depressed facial expression.

“Well, let’s not rush into it that much. First, let’s create a beneficial relationship with some informants before looking for guys that are willing to go wild acting gangster as well as risking their lives for it.” Velma suggested and as well mocked their plan.

“Simple, find desperate people. Money can buy freedom from debts. Strength can win trust for revenge aiding and promises can win a left out soul. In all that, informants are of priority and while doing that, we can still get useful slaves or free people of the mentioned categories.” Jixie backs up Eugene’s plan.

“You have already thought this far? Then, why does it feel that you are more eager for a showdown than us?” Eugene asked out of curiosity as well as being suspicious of Jixie.

“Yeah, I too wanna know. What happened to the low profile principle?” Velma adds to the questioning.

“Come on, am an ex child mercenary, so, why wouldn’t my blood boil for an action? It’s not all that bed of roses though but it’s all about making the thorns from the rose plant be as comfortable as how the rose bed is.

I know am all about trying to keep a low profile but if that is going to get us killed, then fuck that. Let’s go wild and send back the threats that were given by the other party back to them but this time around, let it be more terrifying.” Says Jixie and they three cheered on.

...........[At Eugene’s Home.]............

“Welcome back young sir.” Sir Eric greeted Eugene as he took his school bag away from him.

“Yeah, that’s okay. Please, do escort me to our gun range, I’m about to have some free time practice.” Eugene requested as he took of his tie and shirt and hands over to sir Eric.

“Of course young sir, that would be a pleasure.” Sir Eric obeys as he rushed to drop Eugene’s belongings at their appropriate places.

Sir Eric was done and came downstairs and met Eugene sitting and then spoke up, “I am done young sir. Now, let us head to the gun range.”

“Certainly.” Eugene responded as he got up and followed Sir Eric to the study room.

Going into the room, sir Eric led Eugene straight to a bookshelf at the right. He pulled out a huge old book and had his hand go through the space created by the act of removing the huge old book. His hand came in contact with a horizontal handle attached to the wall and then, he twisted it to a vertical position and  pushed the handle inwards, which caused both the bookshelf and the wall to go in the more, till they couldn’t go in any further.

Sir Eric, with the handle, slid both the bookshelf and the wall to the left, thereby, causing an opening which could accommodate only a single person, to appear. Sir Eric led Eugene into the opening and before them was a white, all round tiled room filled with different handguns, supplies and ammunition, both those hanging around, those on the table and those in special briefcases.

Without any hesitation, Eugene went to the wall at the right and picked up an auto rifle and to the left, a submachine gun and to the centre table to drop them both. He went to the side tables and selected his accessories, which were his bullets, external magazines, a rifle’s compressor and a submachine's suppressor. Stocks were attached, barrels added, rear grips too and so on.

As Eugene was done with his selections and modifications, sir Eric aided in carrying his guns for him and also led him to an ash coloured door. Sir Eric opened it and finally led him to the firing range room, which Eugene went in with him and wasted no time in practicing.

Half an hour has already passed and Eugene could be seen being hooked, in testing out the submachine gun after the rifle. Extra more minutes have passed before Eugene took out his magazine and dropped his gun while sweating heavily.

He looked at sir Eric who was coaching him and stared him deeply into his eyes and spoke up, asking, “hey sir Eric, do you happen to know about any trustworthy informants?”

“It seems like young sir has finally made up his mind and I am glad you asked. Of course, I do have a list of trustworthy informants from the black world. Let’s head back to the study room young sir and I shall aid you in choosing any of your choice while I give you their detailed information.” Sir Eric replied as he lets out a sweet smile.
